Good article on Silfverberg and his team making it to the SEL Finals Hopefully he can translate this success to the NHL next season

I'm hoping he'll be a top 6 forward.

He'll be a 4th line checking forward, at best.

Sens will have Silfverberg over for the playoffs. Expect to see the talented Swede on a line with Spezza and Michalek. Along with 1st PP.

Shhh... that's only the opinion after we trade him with a 2nd rounder for Luke Schenn.

I dont think maclean likes the idea of throwing him in the thick of the NHL playoffs for his first game in the NHL.

i think the plan got shelved when brynas made the finals.

still a chance we see him at the tail end of the first round, but most likely he simply skates with the black aces.

One way or another this doesn't tell us anything.

Silverberg and Rundblad aren't even comparable players. And the latter having a tough transition was predictable.

If that ends up being the case with Silfverberg, we can trade him for a poorly used prospect player from another team, have that player play with Alfie, and turn the player into a legit top-6 forward. Sounds fine to me.

Or, you know, we have the SEL MVP in our line-up next season. Either way is good with me IMO

Who's Shawn Simpson?

Regardless, I'm also just hoping that he turns into a top 6 forward. There's been plenty of hype surrounding plenty of guys who didn't pan out.

Yep, so 2nd round definitely seems most likely.

Even if they sweep (or get swept?) in the finals, he might be able to make a (1st round) game 6 here, at the earliest.

Game 3 would most likely be on the 16th. but I doubt it finishes in 4 games.

Agreed, although I think he might want a few days in between to take a breather, hence the few days I added. Immediately jumping from the SEL finals right into the NHL playoffs is pretty intense.

Wouldn't that be crazy though: Finish sweeping the SEL finals on the eve of the 15th, on a plane, and playing in Game 3 of the Sens-Bruins series the very next day? That would garner an INCREDIBLE amount of respect, however unrealistic it is.
