i think kreider looked his best tonight...with a bit more ice i think his presence will be huge with a bit more ice time...i also believe hagelin will come out in game 6 HUGE...it will be great...backs against the wall...only way to do this is win!!! do it up rangers!
These idiots are done. No heart, no passion, no sense of urgency. No better than last season. Hope the "core" doesn't get to comfortable, because some of them are going to be moved to address our scoring issues.
I can't even believe what took place tonight. I am completely sick to my stomach.
I have watched the rangers religously for 13 years now (25 years old) and I know I have no suffered like some of you. BUT THIS WAS THE YEAR.
And if they go out like this, this hockey that we were all afraid was going to happen, which we all need to admit is happening, is happening. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS.
I know the series is not over but if they lose monday......I really don't know what I am going to do.
I am sick to my stomach.
Relax. Take a deep breath. This is a team on the rise that has developed a great goalie with 5-7 more great years, a tremendous defense, and restocked the farm system. They don't have money problems like the Devils either, nor are they on the way down like San Jose and probably the devils it they don't re-sign Parise (and Brodeur is almost 40).
Let's be honest. First off, the season isn't yet over. Second, this is at this point about a 5 or 6 seed in the Eastern Conference that finished first because they went pedal-to-the-metal during the regular season and over-achieved.
Try being over 60, like some others here and get perspective. For years the Rangers were terribly run, trading young talent for over-the-hill stars who did nothing but deplete the prospect base. Even in your lifetime, they missedthe playoffs seven straight years.
Let's continue to build the team, sign free agents if possible if they have real value and manageable cap hits. No one is taking Dubinsky off your hands at 4.2 mil a year and giving you anything decent in return. We are stuck with him, and anyway, he can do a lot as long as you don't expect him to score. Getting a guy like Nash for half your future is like what they used to do, and makes no sense. We are on the right track, just have patience and don't get drunk and jump off a bridge.
