Capital cities have to stick together, at least until the ECF.

So do we see MP back in the lineup and rest one of the vets?

its tough to change lineups after a big win but you have to think with b2b games there will be some heavy legs and MP is fresh.

dress him i say

I'd like to see a fresh MP or Halpern in for Aucoin. It makes that much more sense considering the b2b and 3rd game in 4 days.

Aucoin now at -3 worst among forwards. I would love to see Halpern get in but I am preparing for no changes after a win. B2B means little, what pro cant play 10 minutes every damn day. He is just so small and gets manhandled in near every chance, at least Ward and Knuble showed well with Coin up high. He has to use the poke check to bring defense like he did yesterday in center ice. Once we get pinned, he gets in trouble.

C'mon Dale, don't rest on a late 3rd period goal.

Caps win 3-1. Yes put MP in he's good for a goal after
Sitting a game as usual. I still do not get why Keith Aucoin is playing over a NHL vet. If a players injured sure maybe Plug him in he's gotten a little experience now.

I woke up with the same kind of feeling I woke up with the mornings of Games 2 and 4. I have envisioned a Capitals win today, and if I didn't have series bets on the Caps already, I would bet on this game. If I get this one right, I should be well on my way to getting my official Texas psychic accreditation. If not, I'll say I'm a fraud and will suffer much public humiliation while we wait for game 7 and will stop all the nonsense.

Caps are +105 underdogs at my place (Boston is -125) today. Even if I were not a psychic, and I might not be, I would still say that I think those odds are wrong. I think Caps should be favored here a little bit. Caps have a great home record this year (3rd best in the east), and people are ignoring that, I think. Not to mention the fact that the Capitals have been playing the Bruins really tough all year now and have won most of their games against them.

I know a Caps win still seems unlikely to many. Because that would mean the Caps would win a playoffs series. Caps winning a playoffs series? Yeah, but it does happen from time to time. Capitals, I believe, have won 12 of the 34 series in which they have participated throughout their 36 seasons before this one.

But the Capitals have never beaten the reigning Stanley Cup Champions in a series before. Four times they have tried to do this, and four times they have failed (lost to the Islanders in '83 and '84, the Penguins in '92, and the Wings in '98). Making this happen, I feel, would be a pretty cool accomplishment in and of itself, regardless of what happens afterwards. Caps might not be able to get their hands on the Cup this year, but maybe they can at least yank it away from someone else.

Odds should be close to even in every game, at this point. A good game to hedge a series bet. I hope everyone cashed in on yesterdays absurd odds.

They'll close it out today if the third pairing's minutes are extremely sheltered. No defensive zone starts please.

Win one for Nicky. Check.

Nicky will win one for you. Uncheck.

You can all win together. Check.

Hmmmm...........okay...........today Nicky wins it for his teammates. I had those games switched. Sorry 'bout that. So it should have been and will be...............

Win one for Nicky. Check.

You can all win together. Check.

Nicky will win one for you. Uncheck. (At the end of the day this will be a "Check" too.) This way makes more sense anyway.......Nick wins it in front of the home crowd.

OMG..........I can't watch!

My father-in-law used to feed the squirrels around his house peanuts. It got to the point they would wait at his front door every morning. Like 5 of them. It was all fun and games until 2 rushed into his house one morning. $500 later to hire someone to get them out of his house, he doesn't feed them anymore.

Ha! I had a similar incident when I was a kid at my grandparents in Indiana, they lived in the woods and my grandfather had like twenty bird and squirrel feeders everywhere. One time while visiting them, two squirrels bolted into the house through the open garage door and up the stairs into the living room. Too bad for them we had our german shepherd with us. Took her about thirty seconds to catch them both, just snapped their necks. I wanted to leave one corpse in the front yard and one in the backyard as a warning to the others but grandma vetoed it.

Anyway, in regards to the game today, finish them quickly Caps. No mercy, come out firing and snap their necks.
