I like your PP1 but your PP2 would get embarrassed and give up shorties.

I assume everyone saw that Aucoin has to slap pass to generate NHL speed passes.

His stuffer at the goal mouth puck at his feet, he is handcuffing himself.

Talk to Adam Oates. Shorten the twig dude.

Dennis Tennis Ball Cannon Wideman

Haha!

Yeah, Aucoin needs to shorten that thing. He's using Tom Poti's twig.

We won't lose to Boston twice in a row. We'll get that win on Wednesday.

We're 4-1 @ the Garden this year.

Well, Dale Hunter's inexplicable ice time management very well may have cost the Caps the series.

Dennis Wideman PP time: 6:03
Mike Green PP time: 0:41
John Carlson PP time: 0:48

Keith Aucoin PP time: 4:01
Alex Semin PP time: 3:07
Troy Brouwer PP time: 3:45

That's not even starting the conversation about overall ice time.

Yep Caps will win Wednesday. Backstrom will step up huge for his OT blunder and we will go on to the next round.

there really is no rational explanation for those numbers. i love dale hunter the player. i hate dale hunter the coach. i really like the way the caps are playing and if he could get the right guys on the ice more, they'd be really dangerous.

I know Alzner and Carlson take all the defensive zone face offs. Would it be a bad thing if they occassionally were on when there is a face off in the offensive zone? Just wondering how that would look and whether it would change anything.

I think Dale has to realize Backstrom + Ovechkin is more dominating than Backstrom + Semin.

Man that loss totally bummed me out, I have always been high on the Capitals chance to win this series, and its just a damn shame they couldn't beat them at home, but whatever...

I have faith they can win it still.

I'd be interested to see the ES TOI. It might begin to make sense.

They don't actually. Erskine-Wideman took 2 of the first 3. Another inexplicable ice time distribution.

I think everyone realizes Semin has been good this series. Still doesn't exempt him from blame when he makes the same boneheaded play that he's made since his rookie year and it costs us in the closeout game.

Your stance is beyond simplistic. Criticism and praise can exist at the same time.

Keith F'ing Aucoin has had exactly.......drumroll....1 shot on goal this whole series? 1 freaking shot. What a complete waste of space on the PP. Slow stick, no bulk, little vision, can't really handle the puck well. Perfect for a must-win playoff game.

Semin did not cost us the closeout game. Backstrom was, by far, the biggest culprit.

Mind boggling. I kept screaming at the TV, put Green out there. IMHO 19 and 52 are best at entering the opponents zone with the puck during a PP. Wideman in incapable and will most likely dump and chase to get it into the zone during a PP.

DH's has absolutely blind loyalty to Wideman, must be that London Knights thing.

This was our clearcut best chance to win the series.

We had so so many opportunities, and Boston was clearly gassed. Yet Dale refused to let us off the leash.

Game 7 won't be fun to watch.
