here is the thing, if we play chicago at this point, it means crawford is stopping pucks. and heaven forbod a hot goalie.

honestly, I tink we end up playing phoenix and then if we win LA.

what I want is to put STL out next, then Chicago after they put Vancouver out. then florida maybe?

I think you guys can take the Blackhawks easier than the Coyotes.

chicago should be the answer.. questionable goaltending, hossa out, revenge, division rival, and home ice

I think we should really be careful what we wish for with chicago. In case anyone else hasn't noticed, they are good hockey club with a dangerous power play and a killer instinct that is combined with timely scoring. I am not sure I want to play them even without Hossa. I am not convinced mike smith can maintain his level of play another round.

Mike Smith has played pretty steady and great most of the season. He is a better goalie at this point than Crawford.

I don't care who we face. I am confident in the guys on the ice. I think the question is which team doesn't want to face us in the next round.

Chicago AINEC. We tend to lose to teams whose goaltenders are almost as good or as good as Rinne. Crawford/Emery are not in that category. Smith is.

This time of year I'd much rather match up with a team I'm pretty sure we can score on than one that has the ability to beat us 1-0.

I don't know, I really don't view Smith in the same category as Rinne. Sure he is better than Crawford or Emery, but his rebound control and inability to hold it together late in the game has me unconcerned about PHX.

Smith is 1 tier down from Rinne right now. Crawful and Emery are about 5.

Chicago. It will be boring games against the Yotes. Nashville will have boring finals against Hitchcock and St. Louis, let's have some fun

I'm sorry. Mike Smith is a trash goaltender. Is he playing well, yeah. It doesn't matter who we play, we are better in net. We are better on D. With PHO we are better up front, top to bottom. Chicago has more top line talent, but have **** for a bottom 6. It doesn't matter who we draw, I now expect to win round two, and if we do not, it wil be a major disappointment

I voted Chicago but now that I think about it, if it were Chicago that would mean they had won a couple in a row, so they would be confident and hot which is not a great thing, so maybe Phoenix.. I think we should beat either one though..

I tend to agree, I cant really take anyone seriously (Smith) who was lower on the depth chart than Dan Ellis for his entire career.

I don't think a series with the Yotes would be boring at all. Have you even watched their team? They are pretty exciting.

Smith had better numbers than Rinne in the regular season...

I would take Chicago over Phoenix. We seem to play well against Chicago. But it looks like we will be playing Phoenix. Better hope our players can score against Mike Smith.

Not sure, but I think I'd rather the Preds play Chicago....... Seems that another series win against an original 6 team would go along way toward making high profile free agents want to stay in (or come to) Smashville regardless of what happens the rest of the playoffs. Plus if game 7 is needed in either series, home ice seems huge. Also it may help the offense find all their cylinders to play against a more wide open style.

I don't put a lot of stock in our beating up on Chicago some this past year. Weren't Toews and/or Keith both out for a couple of those? Playoffs are the great equalizer to me anyway, every team is going to kick it up a notch.
