The racism on Twitter thing is overblown. Stupid kids will say stupid things because they think it's funny and the internet is somewhat anonymous.

Just because some idiot makes a racist comment doesn't mean there's an epidemic of racism among hockey fans.

My mom was surprised there was a black guy but my response was more "it's amazing that he scored that OT winner because he was signed just for that reason, because he had a great playoff last year...even though he wasn't so great during the regular season...and also he was a MN Wild prospect that we lost for nothing."
