if the Flyers play the same way as they did against the Pens going forward they will be the easiest out in the NHL. You cant win playing that kind of defense and getting that kinda goaltending in the playoffs...not unless the team you played against plays even worse defense and has even worse goaltending...which happens like once every million years or so lol.

Was 6 for 7 in the 1st round in picks. Only one I missed was I had the Canucks over the Kings. https://twitter.com/#!/WizKidBrandon...92803748388864

Second round I am going:

Flyers in 6
Blues in 7
Predators in 6

The Devils will give the Flyers a good run for their money. Brodeur is the x factor. If he plays well and Bryzgalov continues to struggle, we could have an upset. The Flyers' offense is lethal, but their goal output was aided by Fleury crapping the bed and having one of the worst performances of any goalie in a playoff round in history.

Matt Moulson is incredibly awkward on NHL Live right now.

The flyers' defense/goaltending had flashes of brilliance (like the 2nd 2 periods of shutout hockey they played in game 1), but teams don't give up 10 goals in the regular season, let alone choke that hard in a playoff game..

When's the last time a team had 10 goals against in a playoff game?

Whens the last time a team like Pittsburgh gives up 8 in consecutive playoff games?

I think the high scoring in that series was exclusive to that series given the nature of the teams and the rivalry.

I do think the Flyers scoring at a high rate against the Devils is more likely than the Devils shutting their offense down.

Exactly. Pens/Flyers is like Rangers/Islanders. You never really know what's going to happen and there's an edge of chaos there that you don't usually see.

Flyers are going to be a bit shell shocked on Sunday.

They're going to have to attempt to score on a team that actually plays defense.

You should of heard Eddie Olczyk on NHL Live.

He was in awe of their offense and has them coming out of the East.

Uncle Daddy still steps it up at times, Bryz has never shown he has that extra gear. I still think Philly wins this series in 6 or 7, but the Devils will not let them score 6+ a night.

Yotes up 1-0. I'm sorry but I hate that stupid white out nonsense.

Any fanbase that does that crap shows their lameness. Wear your damn team colors.

The Towel crap at MSG is bad enough, but atleast the fans mostly wear blue.

I hate all playoffs gimmics: thundersticks, towels, white shirts. They are all stupid, use your mouth and use your hands.

The White Out is mostly an old jets tradition. And how can you hate the rally towels? I think MSG looks awesome when we're all waving them.

Cause its lame. You don't need paraphernalia to support your team.

Wear the Jerseys, use your hands, scream as loud as you want.

We don't need the sport equivalent of "glow sticks".

The only reason its there is to placate to sponsors.

Also let me ask another question: Doesn't the white towel seem kinda similar to twirling around a white flag of defeat?

What would be interesting is if they issued everyone a bullhorn

Yes. That's the point now, but that's not how it used to be. And Chase will always be sponsoring events at the Garden. It's been that way for decades.

Although the only thing the white out in PHX has going for it is it hides the empty seats. Because I see a good number of them.

I don't have a problem with sponsors. I have a problem with a playoff gimmic that is only there because of sponsors.

It's not like you can see what it says on the towels when you're watching TV. And league sponsoring could be worse. I mean, the players could look Like this:

Edit: NVM. The stupid photo won't embed. HF blocks it. It's a photo of a player in an international league with ads all over the jersey.

That makes the towels Way easier to like, right?

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure they confiscate things like bullhorns even if you tried to bring your own

Nope towel is still lame. A small turd is still a turd.

The jersey sponsor stuff is gawdy as all hell but that is out of necessity. Not some forced playoff "tradition" that marketing people have concocted.

Well then don't take it when they offer you it. Maybe if all the Towel-Nonbelievers boycott them, MSG will stop giving them away.
