2012 Free Agency

With the 2012 Free agency crop being semi-decent who would you guys like the Wild to sign? I know everyones gonna say suter and Parise but if neither one of them end up signing here is there anyone else you'd guys like to see. I wouldn't mind Dennis Wideman if they were able to get him somehow.

Honestly, I'm not so against Semin as some people. Low probability he considers us, even then. I wouldn't mind taking a swipe at Hudler.

Brodziak will be occupying the roll that we'd sign Hudler to fill, IMO. Too redundant with the youth we have competing for spots.

Hudler hasn't been playing this year at center, if I'm not mistaken.

I say if we can't get the high end forwards(Parise/Semin) we don't sign any forwards. Stick to helping out the blue line. We have enough mediocre players. The blue line is miserable with less NHL ready players in the system than forward.

Neither of those guys would help the Wild. Semin would be another Havlat attitude, and Hudler would be invisible on our team.

Semin will most likely resign here in DC.

I think Wild should go after a defenseman like Oduya. Is Brodin NHL ready next year?

Possibly. I think he'll be given every opportunity to stick with the pros. He may need a few months in houston though.

Hudler is too ugly. Seriously, if the Wild signed him I'd have to switch to only listening to games. I can't risk them accidentally showing that atrocity he calls a face on my TV.

Who cares if someone is ugly as sin. All I care about is if they can win us some games.

I mean, just look at the Sedin Twins. Ugliest mugs in the whole league.

I know Semin will most likely re-sign with the Caps.

I wouldn't mind seeing Oduya here. Provided that its on a 1 or 2 year deal.

Usually I would agree, but Hudler crosses the line. I quite literally would watch less Wild hockey if he were on the team simply because I can't stand his face.

Well look at it this way, if YOU have to watch it, so does the other team. And they have to look at it up close and live.

I'm 100% convinced that is a contributing factor in Detroit's winning record.

I'm calling BS. If your theory were true the Wild would've been able to climb back into the playoffs after trading for Vellieux.

First of all, agee 100% on Hudler's face.

Also, can anyone post a list of the upcoming FA's?

If I remember correctly, Matt Carle will be an UFA after this season. I would certainly love to have him here. For the right price of course.

LINK TO LIST You would be correct in thinking Matt Carle is a free agent. However, I think he'll be vastly overpaid.

Don't see the Wild signing much of anybody if they can't get Parise. Not even gonna mention Suter because I'm quite confident that he'll re-sign in Nashville.

We pretty much need to sign somebody to reach the cap floor. I can see us going hard after Wideman or Carle.
