I also want to give Lewis big props for...well, basically playing like Lewis, as he's done all this series, and caused that big turnover on a 100% legal hit. Hustle, hustle, hustle
...and don't forget King who moved into great position, making both the remaining defenseman and Schneider have to respect him, thus giving Stoll the space to shoot, rather than having to shoot into a squared goalie body.
Many thanks to everyone for (mostly) keeping your cool and being respectful elsewhere around the forums. A little banged up but everyone's still here and contributing - just the way we like it. See you in round 2.
In other news...
200+ people met the Kings tonight at the airport when they arrived home (with extremely short notice on location) - impressive!: http://twitpic.com/9d1yx7
wow that is great. It is a nice number of people on short notice.
Congrats guys. This shows that "the better team on paper" isn't always the better team on the ice. We have a lot of work to do this offseason, and me personally, I'm gonna need some sort of hobby haha.
Sucks sucks sucks... Big time... But hey, what ya gonna do? Enjoy you're run while it's here!
Why did it have to be Stoll. Was not happy with his play most of the season, not to mention his idiotic penalties in the playoffs; but I admit he had a solid game last night. He was forechecking hard as well.
Extremely happy with the win. Also happy to be playing the Blues. Regardless of the result, it should be a heavy hitting and exciting series. Other notables:
Penner and Lewis are husting.
Really impressed with poise shown by Nolan. Anyone see that pass he made to the point that one shift? That wasn't a rookie play.
Richards/Carter are warmin up. At least they're creating chances.
....and can't say enough about Quick. So glad we have him.
