Can't wait! I like the Kings. This series could be really good. Of course neutral fans will be so bored. Both teams play tight, physical hockey with great defense and amazing goal-tending. Every game will be 1-0.

I'll take that as long as it's the Blues scoring the goal.

It's actually favorable. We've seen what happens when the Blues get too much of a lead. They slack off and it starts to bite them in the butt.

Honestly, I think this series is going to boil down to special teams, luck, and who makes the fewest mistakes. Both teams have great goaltending and very good 5-on-5 defense, so things are going to be extrememly tight all series when it comes to ES scoring. I give the Blues the slight edge in ES play, and the Kings the slight edge in goaltending. Up front the Blues have the better depth, but the Kings have the higher-end talent...I don't see a significant edge for either team. Special teams in a short series is often a toss-up. I think this series could easily go either way.

Not all of us. I'm really looking forward to this series, two very good teams who are both playing fantastic hockey at this point of the season. I'm predicting this will be the most exciting second round series (considering potential outcomes in the east), too bad many casual fans won't be able to appreciate it.

Mostly i'm glad it's you guys who have the west coast series, those late start times are brutal.

Will be a close series. If the Kings win, I just hope the Blues still get all the credit for the new dead puck era!

I'd be more worried if the Blues had ended up playing Vancouver. They would have been confident and rolling along while the Blues had a long lay off.

Elliott was better than Quick in the regular season, his playoff GAA is .22 less than Quick, and his SV% is only .004 less.

McDonald is the hottest offensive player outside of the Pittsburgh/Philadelphia series.

I like our depth a lot better. The record may say 2-1-1, but one of those was a shootout loss and the other came under Payne.

There are no easy roads to the Stanley Cup. Its gonna be tough. But I like our chances.

Let's Go Blues!!

Well you could easily get Phoenix, so not much difference in travel/start times.

I enjoy the cross-bonding of the remaining teams over this whole "boring" thing, even more so if Phoenix advances. It's great, high-level, intense hockey that rewards will.

I think it's fitting that the last two games by these teams ended 1-0 lol.

Under Hitch the season series was 1-1 with a third game being decided in the shootout. McDonald didn't feature in any of those games.

It is going to be tight, but I think we take this in 6. As strong as their defense is, ours is better. We've struggled to score on them this season, but I don't think we can overstate the importance of McDonald to this team when it comes to that.

We take this one in 6.

I'd rather play 1-0 roulette with the Kings than handle the Sedin sisters. I think we'd have a good chance against Van, I just also think we have a better chance of grinding out W's against LAK. Also, we've been finding ways to score goals, we'll score them against the Kings.

I am predicting it will go the full 7, and 3 games will be go to OT. Blues win 4-3 of coarse.

Even if Vancouver won, we wouldn't be facing them in the second round. They and the Blues would have both had to win the second round to meet in the conference finals.

Anyway, hopefully we beat the Kings and I don't see the Preds losing the second round either. They have a great team. And I would like facing them in the conference finals.

Central division the best!

I didn't say all neutral fans. Just in general. You can't deny that there's a ton of people who think the Blues play boring hockey, same with the Kings.

After the first round there are basically no gimme series, particularly when you're working on your first postseason run.

What I like about it is how the slate's even when it comes to playoff experience. Nashville's never been out of the second round. LA's done it once (their Finals year). Phoenix/Winnipeg never have, and never won a series as Phoenix (and still might not). Blues aren't drenched in playoff glory either. So nobody will really be able to draw on any special learned resilience as an edge.

Haha, "the 1-0 roulette." I like that. Unofficial series title.

If Ottawa closes it out tomorrow and the Panthers close it out Tuesday I wonder if the NHL might schedule the Blues/Kings to start Thursday so as not to have an empty day.
