Toews Soews the Day!

Toews with the snipe. Coming back home! And Shaw is coming back. Big, big win.

There ya go...

And this goal came right after I ripped Toews in the GDT. Maybe I need to do that more often

My challenge to the Blackhawks: make it mean something. Prove you're better than the team that hangs it's head, prove you're worth your contracts. Prove you're more than a one-hit wonder squad.

I'm a Cubs fan, but I can even acknowledge this is a heck of a day for Chicago sports.

-Cubs win
-Sox win (Humber perfect game)
-Bulls win
-Hawks OT playoff win

How did Saad look and what do you all expect of him next year?

I don't get the love for Hayes. At least Morrison is getting involved in the play and pk's. I'd scratch him over anyone else on the team when Shaw come back.

Saad look alright. Like everyone else, he got kind of plugged up by Phoenix's brutal defensive scheme.

If he makes the team next year I think he will do very well.

Yep. Not bad but not great either. Could probably use some time in AHL but he doesn't look out of place in NHL either.

While this is true, I still will support Saad. That was only his fourth NHL game (second playoff game). Maybe he can get going here. We can only hope. He kind of got thrown into the fire.

Brunette should sit but Hayes definitely needs to play, and in the top 9 so his efforts aren't wasted.

Hey, if you would have told me that by after Game 5 I would have Frolik inserted in the top-six of my proposed lineup, I would've laughed hard at you. Dude has stepped up in a big way. The same goes for Bickell. There are some guys who just show up when it counts the most.

Don't listen to this knucklehead. He did the board work to get Frolik the puck that Leddy put in the back of the net. The rest of his game looks just fine, too. He's not doing what most rookies do, which is try to do too much, so he's doing exactly what he should.

Thought the lines were a lot more balanced tonight as well.

They rolled with five defensemen in the third period. Don't remember seeing Lepisto out there. I don't think he's hurt, but they must lack some confidence or like their chances of winning with any of the other five out there more.
