I'm not sure the Hawks have what it takes to bring Kesler back. I mean, do we even have Greg Louganis under contract?

If Kelser doesn't amp it up soon, you will wonder why in the hell Bowman gave Gillis a good package of players who panned out for the whiny, diving, non-improving player you though would be the top-six center solution.
IMO, vancouver ruins players. The culture there is poisonous.

Exactly. The guy would be a fantastic solution to the top-six center problem and instantly improves our PK.

either way, Staal's crying and Kesler's diving would be remedied within 2 weeks of having a real captain.

Ike is making me lose more respect for Kesler with some embellishment I have never seen until now. Stay out in Vancouver.

What about Pavelski? Can Toews make him not look like Versteeg?

after spending such a large chunk of time with no show joe as your captain, some real leadership would go a long way.

You completely whiffed on the joke. There's nothing wrong with Pavelski other than his invisibility during this year's playoffs. I would like to see Pavelski or Staal on the Hawks next year. Both would be incredibly awesome. If Saad pans out, our top-six could go toe-to-toe with any other in the NHL, in my opinion.

I don't want to give what it takes to get Kesler... that said, I'd love him

Kesler is a whining, diving, complaining, dirty POS. I would rather the Hawks fold then ever employee that clown.

Kesler? Yes, jumping on his shoulder and flailing around like an epileptic whenever someone skates near him would take a toll on the body after a while.

ice is hard. He paid the price for constantly falling on to it.

All that flopping to the ice has kept his hip from healing.

At this point I would rather have a plug at second line center than take a diving crybaby like Kesler. American or not he's lost my respect entirely.

I remember the Kesler that gave it his all on every shift (great forechecker/backchecker etc.) drove to the net, played with grit. Now it's like his BFF Burrows literally brain washed him these days. The whining, diving, acting cowardly, embellishing ****, etc. He was once one of the only Canucks I generally liked/respected along with Malholtra, Schneider, Hodgson/Ehrhoff when they were there. I miss that guy who would have been a good fit for us. (being a right handed shot and a good faceoff guy just adds to the bonus) Now he's damaged goods and a diva. If I want a diving pansy who is also a hell of a playmaker as a #2 center (which Hossa sorely needs) give me Mike Ribeiro (although I've been team Bolland for #2 for a couple of years now).

He's the only canuck I like and I'd take him in a heartbeat, but canucks aren't going to trade him, he is a part of their "core"

Yeah, but how much of that comes from AV? Crying and diving is the culture in Vancouver, I think he would be a different player here in Chicago.

No thanks. Very few Vancouver players I'd want on my team. Schneider, Tanev, and Malhotra.

Given that description I don't think there's anything worth having that guy on this team.
