Just reported that S-berg will be playing on the Michalek-Spezza line. Truthfully, we're excited and nervous at the same time...can only imagine what he's going through.

You watch. Anderson will not keep up his save percentage further in the playoffs. He's not going to face teams that put 49 shots at his chest.

Rangers seem to think that the Sens logo is a ****ing target.

Anderson will suck dick against the next team Ottawa plays (if they beat us).
varlamov faced 24 shots a game in 09 vs NYR, neuvirth faced 29.6 a game but played 50 minutes of OT hockey, which has to be considered in SPG, anderson has faced 31.4 a game. there is a difference. it's not extreme by any means. but its there.

My last post here before the game:
Helluva series so far and we don't want this to go 7....
Good luck to the Rangers. Better luck to the Sens.

Did you watch the games though? I don't care about SPG. We've been robbed by every goalie in the first round. This team's offense sucks and can't score. Anderson is facing shots, but many of them are not hard shots at all. He makes maybe 2 BIG saves a game. The save on Dubinsky last game was his big save. Other than that, the Rangers had absolutely no shots worth going in the net.

it's not just shots, it's traffic. A couple years back Halak was out of his mind beating the Caps and Pens but the Flyers exposed him with traffic, traffic, traffic.

i guess through this micro-analysis, what im trying to say is although it most certainly is panic time, i don't see how everyones writing them off. this team is different from that in 09 and 11. i share everyones frustration for the lack of scoring, but im not ready to call the season over because andersons played well through 5 games.

The Senators have been a very formidable foe. We all knew that this wasn't going to be an easy, regardless of their 8th seed and whatnot. I have a lot of respect for the Senators for proving so many naysayers wrong (including your own fans! I remember your avatars early in the season!).

With that being said, I still believe. I still have faith in our team. Because while Ottawa has proved a lot of people wrong, so has this blue-collar team. No one - and I mean no one - ever suggested or hinted that the New York Rangers would win the conference over titans such as Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Boston. We have come back all year and IF we win tonight, we will win this series.

I believe.

That wasn't my post at all though. I was responding to a Sens fan who thinks that they can beat anyone if they beat the Rangers cuz Anderson is playing great. My point is that goalies always do this to the Rangers and if the Sens move on, they won't get past a team like Philly, Boston, or Washington. Anderson will magically suck again.

Ah, I hear what your saying completely. We really never know though. If were saying that ottawa can beat the rangers because the rangers don't generate quality chances, how do we explain sweeping the flyers?

Their PK, and the Islanders' is literally the only unit in the NHL that allows us PP goals. Defensively, we matched up well against them.

(Plus Hank is awesome at stopping penalty shots.)

Because we play excellent Zone D against them. It prevents them from getting their puck possession game going. Something Sens D is not going to do.

Can you imagine Carkner having to try to prevent Giroux?

I know this stat usually gets overlooked, but we're getting dominated in the faceoff circle. Konopka is winning something like 70% of his draws I think. Richards fluttering around 50. That has to change.

If Boyle can't play, that means that quickly improving rookie Chris Kreider will probably be in the lineup for a fourth straight game. The 19-year-old Kreider, who recently won an NCAA championship with Boston College, signed with the Rangers right after his college season ended.
From Yahoo...

Amazing how hard it is to google "Chris Kreider" and see that he is 21 years old in 7 days.

We dominated the last game but we couldn't finish. Were gunna need our stars to put the puck in the back of the net. This is also the game where our captain needs to shine.

I am fully confident we pull this one out. WHEN we do, there is no way we lose Game 7 at home. All the pressure will be on Ottawa and the Garden will be rocking!

According to Maloney and Micheletti, Ottawa is feeling quite good.

Doesn't sound like they feel any pressure to wrap it up.
