Well, he's not a center either (taking face-offs does not make him a center) - his best offensive production came when he got moved to the wing. More, he'd be the worse center on this Rangers team (excluding Mitchell).

Dude, he was drafted as a center. He plays like a center, he developed as a center.

He'll just end up sticking to Anderson's logo.

Was Brooksie able to ask Torts if he feels like their backs are against the wall?

High and wide, around the boards and out of the zone is equally likely.

This could be the last Ranger game for several players, so they need to show they belong..

And his best year came as a LW.

It's Dubi's own fault for not understanding how to do what he excels at consistently. LW plays to his strengths but Dubi forgets how to do what he's good at.

Rangers are very much in this series. Last game 40 plus shots just couldnt find the net. Game prior were up 2-0 and either took our foot off the pedal or seemed somewhat tired. In any case its a hairline difference. Rangers havent been outplayed. However now it simply comes down to who wants it more since its in elimination state. Problem with that is a bad bounce..a missed net when shooting..a missed PP opportunity is the end. So strap yourselves in all things considered we will have a game 7. LGR!!!!!!!!

Dude, I meant that his skill set is not of a center - that's why I mentioned face-offs.

Absolutely, Hagelin is back, extra rested and no doubt PO'd. Still going to be close, Rangers win 3-2 and see you at the Garden on Thursday!!

I just did the math. We lost every game I didn't drink due to work and what not. From this moment forth as I crack this beer, I promise to drink every game from here on out. We will win.

Guys, his production didn't increase dramatically. We are talking what like 10 pts? I think it correlates more to his increased ice time than his position changing.

Also, wasn't he one of our best face off men when he was a center?

Iím aware of tough playoff series, I get the fact that Ottawa isnít a great match up, but the fact is If this team had any kind of offense we would have wrapped up this series already. I am sick to my stomach watching this team lose/win by one goal. Itís been YEARS now from Renney to Torts.

Regardless of whether or not we win and force a game 7 or even advance. We need some high caliber offensive forwards on this team next season. Get one of Nash, Parise, Ryan, or Iginla plus maybe
R.Whitney. Get rid of some dead wood in the bottom 6 and lets ice a real offense in front of Lundqvist.

This team needs an infusion of skill badly. Players like Mitchell are great, but when you have Mitchell, Rupp, Prust, Boyle, Dubinsky and Anisimov who are all either grinders or glorified grinders it makes sense why the PP sucks. The team has (2) true skill players in Gaborik and Richards.

Maybe it's the coach? Maybe they feel like if they step out of his system and try to play their game they'll be benched and therefore don't take the necessary steps to make the plays that would lead to prime scoring chances?

Just a thought.
