We need someone to pull a Giroux and set the tone early, agreed.

Toews finished last game. Start this one on the first shift with a goal. Very first shift.

We need to get him in situations where he can get that Sakic like wrister off, that much I do know. I think Bickell and Stalberg with him to create space was a good move and they need to keep going with that.

How much for Reto Von Arx?

Lol, I couldn't even put a number on the amount of guys we drafted/trade for, put in the lineup, then discarded, only to find out that no AHL/IHL team even had interest in them, let alone an NHL club. Remember Jean Yves Leroux? Dude played what, 4 or 5 years with us? We let him go and he ends up in semi-pro the next year.

Nah! I don't see Phoenix as a team that can run up the score like that.

I think this will be the first time in the series where we see a multi-goal lead...And it will be built before the 3rd period.

I'll be in attendance as well, as I got a text with an extra ticket last night.

Not surprised to see Saad out. Credited with 0 hits and 0 shots last game. He did have the assist though.

Plus I don't think he makes that big of an impact so possibly losing a year of his ELC could be huge. I want 3 years of him outproducing that ELC low money contract.

Our offense has to break out sometime... right? I hope it is tonight. We really need it.

My heart can't take another nail biter or heart breaking loss. Overtime win is always acceptable, but I might have a heart attach in the process. Just ****ing win tonight, please. Coyotes are just as good on the road as they are at home. Their game really is an away style game anyways so that is what scares me.

The Hawks have got to be 5-0 or 6-0 the past few years in Game 6's though. Won game 6 against Calgary '09, Vancouver '09, Nashville in '10, Vancouver in '10, Philadelphia in '10, and Vancouver in '11. Hopefully this trend continues.

Leroux was the definition of a plug. Hawks management was so incompetent back then.

I want to feel like the Hawk will seize momentum tonight and win like 3-1 or 4-1, but I just don't see that against Smith the way he has been playing. I think we are in store for another low-scoring and very close game. I do think the Hawks will win it though. Will be a great game tonight!

There is not a team left with the lineup juggling these guys do. Ottawa may be close.

It is a guessing game as to which of 15 forwards or 8 d will be in. The line combo's change more often than a newborns diapers. does anyone have the lineup yet for tonight?

I have no idea how this game is going to go. I'd like to say that we'll win, but *shrug* I don't know. The hawks have such an incredibly hard time scoring and the Coyotes play this mind-numbing dull trap. Toss up game.

One thing I do know is that the crowd at this game had better show up. Our home crowds compared to other home ices is embarrassing.

Smith can't win every game for them. He's getting lit up like a christmas tree tonight. Hawks win big. 6-2

I love the GDT, but I think the title would have been more apropos for Game 7. Since the game would be in Phoenix, they'd truly be storming the desert either to emerge victorious, or die trying.

I made this initially for game 1 without seeing the GDT signup thread and didn't have time to make an entirely new GDT for this game, so I went with Bubba88's idea.

The next time I do a GDT I'll definitely do something a bit more appropriate for the venue.

Work let me off early for the game. Lets do this!

I think hawks offense gives up on low shots for the rebound finally and starts going up top on Smith.
