Lukko's GM denied the Regin move today. Knowing how such announcements are handled in SM-liiga, that might as well be "yes" as it is "no", though. We'll see.

Still puzzles me how Jannik Hansen went to Tappara. Somebody in Lukko's offices must have went out to get some pizza at a crucial moment or something.

Apparently Jannik Hansen have had contact with Tappara for a while (at least during his traning in Rødovre and maybe even before that?). Perhaps Lukko was convinced (as was most of us) that he would play in Rødovre, but with the lockout dragging on he chose to play in a stronger league than the danish.
Lars Eller chose JYP because "they showed the most interest", so maybe Lukko has a good deal with the local pizza baker?
But hey 4 out of 6 is not too bad for one club.

That's only for the mega contracts. The guys with smaller insurance costs are getting some change for playing, I'd say the overall cost is the same.

Pelicans wasting its money in goalies. They don't need G, they need hockey players. Esposito and Richmond are not hockey players

Forwards Dragan Umicevic and Eero Elo to Ässät.

Umicevic for 10 games and Elo for the rest of the season plus the next one.

Edit. Also a one year extension for defenceman Miko Malkamäki.

Seems very nice.

Forward Danny Dries won't stay with Ilves after his 10 game try out.

Defenceman Petteri Nummelin to Lukko for next season and the season after that.

Defenceman Jamie McBain of Pelicans will go to NA because of a side injury, but still has a contract with the team.

Defenceman Justin Braun from Tappara back to NA because of a hand injury and won't stay with the team
