This right here. He has crazy talent, but his draft position and injury generates him zero hype.

Besides blacker these players are not underrated. Murphy was drafted 12th overall if I'm not mistaken!! Pumping the Kitchener tires a little there.

Both of those are seconded. Larsen always impresses me when we play the Stars. And I absolutely love Chiasson.

Morgan Ellis. I think he has the tools to become a 2nd pairing defenseman.

I count Palmieri, Vatanen, Holland, Gibson already in the thread...

Not surprising... We whine that Duck players get zero love until they get traded to bigger markets and they become top flight prospects. Lol

I'm sensing a trend!

I would add Frattin and Blacker into mix as well for underrated list.
I agree with Kadri. Hes what the Leafs need more of in terms of forwards a potential two way kid with decent offence and good defense with grit. Hes also been producing in a good AHL team. I really like Kadri a solid top 6 forward with toughness and some decent offensive potential. At his prime I can see Kadri being consistent 50-60 point scorer think Marchand

this coming from a Bruins fan

Ty Rattie

Reg season:
69GP 57g 64a 121 pts

P.O:
13GP 16g 11a 27 pts

He does benefit by playing with Sven, but the kid has his own talent and could end up being an absolute steal for the Blues as a second round pick.

Schwartz, Tarasenko and now Rattie!

The Blues are going to have super skilled wingers in the not too distant feature.

Kadri isn't really a "2-way" player. He's improved defensively but he will likely never be a plus player defensively but he's a slick playmaker with unreal hands and good vision. Easily has the most upside of any Leaf and probably the only Leaf with the potential to be a top liner. I wish Leafs would give him a better chance though because he was playing well with the Leafs but there was no room for him thanks to the likes of Connolly/Armstrong/Lombardi.

I don't think he is underrated though. Maybe by some HF posters because some really seem to hate him but he's a highly rated prospect. From the Leafs, as few others have said, I think Blacker and D'Amigo are underrated.

Im thinking at his prime and the rate he improved from his days playing in London, I think he can be solid defensively. I think people underrated him because of his draft position more than anything else

Came here to say Galiev, but not because of these playoffs, but because of what he was able to do last season. He's a stud.

I was pissed when the Pens passed on him for Bryan Rust. I wanted Galiev in the worst way. Him being available in the late rounds was a wish come true. Now I really wish we'd have got him.

He is extremely underrated. Could challenge top 20 in 2013 if he puts together a great season next year.
