I thought that would be the case to some extent. He really was playing well before injury but the team never had the time or opportunity to get him some serious games. Hard to put in an extremely rusty defense man when you have 7 other guys on the roster ready to go and must have points on the table down the stretch.

It won't sink in. Maybe a trip to the airport will hammer it home.

How good it is to be a Coyotes fan right now !!!! It is incredible and Smith have done the most amazing performance i've seen by a goaltender in a game. OEL's a fu**** stud. Gotta love these guys and i'm so happy for Doan !

This.

It has been a loooooooooooooooooooooong time since I haven't had to cheer for a second favoutrite team in the second round.

So this is what winning a series feels like. Great feeling.

We've tasted more sour than any sports fan should ever have to endure but it's made the sweetness likely beyond comprehension of other sports fans as well!

As long as he doesn't do anything new to draw ire, I give Tootoo a pass, he's had some serious personal demons to overcome the past few years.

Just wanted to drop my congrats in here. Phoenix already surprised me in finishing so high in the league, and I certainly never gave you guys a hope for getting past the first round. Keep on keepin' on!

Finally a series against a team that doesn't have a huge Phoenix area fanbase. It will be great to experience a 100% Whiteout!

And I dunno what to say. I'm sitting at a bar still. I was hungover from my cousin's wedding Saturday and left work ASAP today to get here. A bunch of Chicago fans chirping about raffi that were much bigger than me. **** 'em all. Still sitting here drinking. What a game. GO YOTES!!! Now I have to figure out a way to afford to fly back from Hawaii last minute. Chicago fans are gone...

Yandle had the quietest 5 points in 6 games as a defenseman ever. He ****ed up at certain points, but he is still a big part of this team's offense.

There will be people that think they're special and refuse to put on white. Saw it all three games. Not even Blackhawk fans. Just ****** casual fans who can't be bothered to embrace the one half-assed tradition we have.

I'll make you a deal--you tell your team not to force-feed our guys any plexiglass omelets, and I'll tell my team not to murder a bus full of children. Whaddya say?
Don't really have any sway being all the way over here but I'll do my best.

This is the greatest sporting event of my life. This includes teams winning a super bowl(Ravens) and a national championship in basketball(Maryland).

As someone who just got into the team during the last year of Gretzky's reign(talk about getting in on the ground floor ), I have nothing but respect for all of you that have been waiting for this moment for fifteen plus years.

Ladies and gentlemen, let's hope this is just the beginning.

All 4 teams left in the West have never won a cup.......4 hungry fan bases that have been dining in the cafeteria for too long. Enjoy the elevator ride up to the executive lounge and tell the chef to prepare you a special meal and pour youself a scotch.......Bon Appetit. Welcome to the old boys club.....that table in the corner that is reserved for Detroit is free and so is the one in the other corner with Chicago's name on it

That is true, very true. I read a tweet last night that said Coyotes fans have had to eat a **** sandwich for so long, the victory is much more delicious for it. They're right.

Congrats to the win. You have some of my favourite unheralded players on your team (Brulé, Chipchura, Gordon, Klesla). Must feel great for guys like Doan and Langkow to be a part of this team as well. They definitely deserve a deep playoff run, or two. As does the fans who's been behind this team through thick and thin.

Also, if you could give up OEL to the Flyers, that would be much appreciated.

Winnipeg Jets STH here. Congrats to the Yotes and their fans! You guys deserve this win and I'm thinking Mike Smith could take you guys deep into the playoffs.

Go give the Preds. some hell.
