I'm a sabres fan and I couldn't be happier for the yotes. I think this is awesome for the franchise. I dont want them to leave phoenix cause I know they are hockey fans down there. I just know that if a city has a good sports team, people will support them.
Congrats to the win. You have some of my favourite unheralded players on your team (Brulé, Chipchura, Gordon, Klesla). Must feel great for guys like Doan and Langkow to be a part of this team as well. They definitely deserve a deep playoff run, or two. As does the fans who's been behind this team through thick and thin.
Also, if you could give up OEL to the Flyers, that would be much appreciated.
Not Friday/Sunday! Those are the two days I play hockey! I guess I'll make the sacrifice if need be....
Its just guessing but I am assuming that NBC wont expect this series to be their "prime time" games so both teams will get their normal start times and slotted for ticket sales over TV viewers....just a guess though.
I was sitting at the top of the lower bowl when Kariya ripped one by Khabibulin in the overtime of Game 6 in 1997 to send it back to Anaheim. I didn't realize that would be the beginning of so many years of futility. I've followed this team through some lean years.
I have become so jaded, but this is awesome! This is what it feels like to win a series.
I was there too. I remember being so excited throughout that game and how deflating it was when Kariya scored that goal. This is definitely an amazing feeling.
Thanks AZviaNJ. Something strange happened along the way...
1) I became a fan of this team.
2) I started to respect the fans and what they are going thru.
Again guys, good for you. It is well deserved.
This is really appreciated. We get made fun of alot for our attendance, but our core group of fans is as good as any in the league. We welcome anyone that wants to join our bandwagon.....er....covered wagon.
Wonder if that means the Sunday game will be a local noon start for NBC?
I hope not, but I am expecting it to be sometime in the afternoon. I guess only Friday is confirmed but Sunday is expected.
The Coyotes' Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference semifinal series against the Nashville Predators will start Friday with Game 1 in Glendale, according to John Shannon of Canada's Sportsnet.
Game 2 will also be in Glendale, with Game 3 and 4 in Nashville. Potential Games 5 and 7 would be in Glendale; a possible Game 6 would be in Nashville. The full series schedule will be released later this week.
The Coyotes and Predators split the four-game regular-season series.
