I think we'll win, but I'm not confident that they can close out a close game. I tend to think blowout.

Boston's going to be a nightmare for the first ten minutes of the game. They really need to survive that/get an early goal.

yea, but still....

i thought last year was the best playoffs in a while. win in 5. lose in 4. no 7th game lost when a puck pops up in the air hits a caps d in the head then rolls on edge between the other caps d's skates to brian propp who has an empty net next to pete peeters for the win. or the knuble no goal or the mason skate breaking as trottier shoots and ties the game to set up the 5 ot's.

this year? heartburn...headache....no sleep.

Believe me I'd have removed my comment once you removed your head and saw that your original quote to my post was off base because you either can't read, can't rationalize, or see what you want to see.... Who in their right freaking mind thinks a poor decision last game has a dramatic affect on this one.

Then you edit your post to add the stupid assumption that fits your never ending quest to marginalize people's opinions with which you don't agree.

If the Caps lose tomorrow I'm going to blame txpd's jihad against using capitalization in his posts this year. Why do you hate America so much!?

To me this'll be like the very first game again. Have to weather a heavy storm in the first period and if we can do that, it's partially demoralizing for the B's while invigorating for us.

It'll also be telling imo. Than again, this team has looked much more "veteran" than I ever imagined they'd be. Sadly I've just got a gut feeling expecting another Tampa like game from last year.

hey I am still having trouble activating my Joel Ward Secret Playoff Weapon action figure. does anyone have suggestions? i already tried using the operating instructions for my old John Druce doll, but that didn't work. i guess the wiring is different?

in other news, major full-on dread and stress in advance of tomorrow's game. HOWEVER, this year's model of playoff Caps has surprised me. i think they may just get over the hump tomorrow.

i agree with txpd, there's very good chance that it all comes down to a lucky/unlucky bounce. but boy oh boy, i would sure prefer the other scenario mentioned above -- the 5-1 blowout victory with 2 from #8. we've sure been on the other end of the Game 7 blowout. and that type of game does happen from time to time. there was our loss to Pens, and I remember Colorado dropping a similar one to Red Wings. it would be so goddamned nice to be on the right side of the Game 7 anticlimax.

channeling polyorchid, i say ... Backstrom plays with extra drive and purpose tomorrow night. Holtby stays steady. One of our goals is from #21. We get the W.

Nothing like an Internet pissing match between long time friendly board members....

I return this weekend from my second suspension this calendar year. So yeah while I'm hard to rile up, I don't hold back when I switch. However this sat I'm already planning my slew foot on the person who started the fight that ended in the dude swinging his stick at my head.

Our vast history of many teams looking great... have always failed. Swept in our only cup sniffer.

Looking completely lost yet our way to a game 7.

Our players and coaches may all be dense but maybe its just our density

I have one but it came sans the required cold fusion battery.

Joking aside he has looked much better in the playoffs than the regular season.

Enchantment Under the Sea

Is George going to knock out Biff and go the big dance, or is he going to be goofing off for another year?

It may depend on whether the Capitals make like a tree and get the **** out of the playoffs.

The win thread starters were 442, mrwarden, and myself. I'm kinda getting superstitious about it.

Really, I think this game is all about Holtby.

I think HE is the reason we can win. He plays like games 1, 2, or 4, then we win. He could create his own legacy, along with all the other young stud goalies, right here.

Where Varlamov failed against Pitts, Holtby could succeed against Boston.

It's on Holtby.

I'm just gonna enjoy tomorrow. One game, anything's possible.

What I dread is Ward scores two goals, becomes a Cap for life, never scores again, lol. Just kidding. The lineup is messed up, but players are doing their best to fight through their own stupid.

Praying for Holtby is good. I'll be praying to the gods of laser wristers to smile on our Russian snipers

Holtby will be fine... we need to worry about Dale and our offense.
