From a loyal Boston Bruins fan, I want to apologize to Caps fans for the absolutely disgusting behaviour and racism displayed by some of the pathetic people who claim to be "fans" of a team i love and a sport i love. I hope you all know true Boston fans don't think like these cavemen do. If anybody was going to score on the Bruins, i'd want it to be Joel Ward.

I'm afraid shoe would be on the other foot if the Bruins had an African American score GM 7 OT GWG. Every fan base has racist idiots. Too bad, the last thing I even thought about was that Ward is black when he scored that goal. Shame.

Sad and yet ironic that those involved, claiming to be fans of the Boston Bruins, yet it's obvious they don't know their own team's history. The Boston Bruins organization was responsible for allowing the first black to play in the NHL. Willie O'Ree, sometimes referred to as the Jackie Robinson of hockey, started his NHL career with the Burins in the 50's.
