I know someone mentioned it as a possibility in an earlier thread, but has there been any word from the Caps that Perreault is hurt? Has he been taking any of the recent practices?

Meh that's hedging, even steven at the end of the night either way.

I always go for the real win win. F betting on a hated opponent.

Basking in the glory, or throwing the laptop out the window and then sitting there contemplating the next move.

Hunter taken aback by @kcarrera's question about Alexander Semin being OK to play. Just called morning skate optional. He's good.

Some hard hitting questions from katie.

Of course Dale is defensive

Ask some real questions, if you think that was defensive.

EDIT - its a segway into her asking about Aucoin supplanting him on PP1.

Any explanation as to why MP has been out of the lineup? Injured?

I thought he was one of the team's top players down the stretch.

I'm pretty sure one of two things will happen tonight.

1) Jeff Schultz will cost us the game

2) Jeff Schultz will score

I was really hoping Alzner's fine showing in his game 7 would help get Orlov in.

In my mind, Erskine should have been in for game 3, and Orlov in by game 6. I am sure it didn't take 3 games to see Sarge wasn't going to step up his game. 2 games, no hits, minus whatever, series getting rougher.

Seriously. I would pay good money to hear a pro scout's candid opinion of Jeff Schultz, because I just don't ****ing see it.

I think Perreault might be hurt. Someone on Japer's Rink mentioned that a beat writer tweeted that he got slashed(?) and was having trouble holding on to his stick.

in alzner's game 7 the play in that series had been largely in who's zone?
in this game 7 the play in this series has been largely in who's zone?

big difference there.

what do you think dale and jj are thinking by putting 55 in the game?

Perreault with one hand is better than Aucoin.

Most all of Orlov games this year have been played under Dale. Sure he had turnovers, but Carlson had his fair share in his first playoff series, yet, he did really well overall.

Easily being our best hitter, maybe this series actually fits Orlov's style better than Sarge. The B's forwards seem pretty damn fast too.

Erskine is not in because the league squashed rough play after Pitt Philly GM3. Orlov should have gotten the nod in game 6.

Why not share your thoughts, or ask Katie. They made the decision, not me.

I honestly have no idea how Orlov could be any worse than Schultz. Or Wideman, for that matter.

I'd be just as comfortable with Marshall/Kundratek/Collins/AHL fodder-Orlov than I am with Schultz-Wideman.

@kcarrera that's twice now you have said something about Semin's status that no one else has. Are you dating Sasha?

He is quiet.... now we know!
