I thought Boyle could be possible, but he seems to have made it quite clear he doesn't want to leave. I think Burns is probably a pipe dream as well, so that leaves Vlasic and Murray. Both have one year left, Vlasic 3.1mil, Murray 2.5.

Vlasic isn't overly physical, but is younger and was SJ main PK d-man. Lead the team d in overall blocked shots with 173.

Murray is a nice physical d-man, but has never really been a healthy guy. Murray had 126 hits and 143 blocked shots in 60 games. Could be a decent one year stop gap.
I've been a fan of vlasic for a while and i think he would fit here. But i think San Jose is more likely to ship out murray. Vlasic is just that much better than murray and for 0.6 million difference they would probly keep him.

Vlasic has more of a future too. It'll be interesting, I really think one of Thornton/Marleau are shipped away as well. Who knows maybe they end up with Staal after they ship one of those guys out. There just seems to be a lot more talk of moves this year than previous years and some of the teams have some really good assets.

The team needs another winger (if they don't re-sign Smyth to a one-year deal) as well. Otherwise the team will be relying on BOTH Paajarvi and Hartikainen to produce on the left side (not accounting for injuries).

I would really like to see the team take a run at Jagr if he doesn't go back to Philly, or barring that, pick up someone like Pancakes (crap year but could come cheap), David Jones (probably a pipe dream), or Tootoo.

I know its been talked about alot but i would like to get malone, and i'm sure he wouldn't cost much.

Hemsky - RNH - Ebs
Malone - Hall - Yakupov
Harti - Horc - Pajaarvi
Eager - Belanger - Jones

Stuart isn't really the type of D-man this team needs. We need a Boyle who can actually make timely outlet passes instead of wringing it around the boards.

Patrice Bergeron hasn't looked great for the Bruins since he has come back. Any chance Edmonton could add him as that bigger second line center? How about:

To Edmonton:
Patrice Bergeron

To Boston:
Magnus Paajarvi
Sam Gagner

I think we'd have better luck with krejci. Bergeron is Selke finalist (possibly winner)

Man, If Washington can win with Holtby, we should be able to win with Dubnyk.

Lol - we can win with any goaltender that gets hot. And Holtby is a hot goalie. In Dubs, we trust.

Bergeron is a hit away from being in a vegetative state. I'll pass.

It's been three years since Bergeron has had serious concussion problems. Lots of players in the league at this point are a dangerous hit away from serious problems. The Bruins would never in a million years trade Bergeron for Gagner and Paajarvi, but if they did I would do it instantly.

You're kidding me. He will likely win the Selke.

+36 (tops in NHL), 59.2% face offs, etc. he is what we wish Horcoff could be.

I could see something like Lucic for Hemsky.

I figure that between him, Seguin and Krejci that he probably holds the most while having the most question marks. I don't see them wanting to move him either but if their was a time to try and push for him- now would be it.

They seem content with keeping Seguin on the wing and Bergeron is by far the best of the three. They might get the most for him, but he is the hardest to replace.

Yeah I doubt they trade him but if he can't recover to his old form it's at least a possibility.

Krejci is probably the one the Bruins will move.

I don't see Boston trading one of their key centers, I think they like the versatility they provide and Bergeron is very key to their success; if the coach has a say I'd guess he'd be the last player on the team he would trade besides maybe Chara. I expect Boston to wait for a healthy Horton and possibly augment their wingers likely adding one high skill guy with some secondary attributes that would make them a good fit with their style. Probably also offload some of their project players and let some UFA's walk and try to get a different mix with new UFA signings.

Boston really needs to get that PP fixed, I know they won it last year having it perform pretty poorly the whole way through, but you can't expect to do that every time.

Boston were only a Horton away from a cup, I don't see them doing too much.
