The team is very proud to announce that, after receiving permission from the Boston Bruins, Bruins assistant coach Doug Houda will be the next head coach of the Blue Jackets.
"We are thrilled to add Doug to our organization", said Jackets GM CaptPantalones. "Hes a great motivator, a great defensive coach and a student of the game. hes a well respected young coach we feel will thrive with our organization."
To round out his coaching staff, Springfield assistant coach Nolan Pratt will move up from the AHL to join returning assistant Dan Hinote and newly hired goaltending coach Ron Tugnutt, who joins the staff after years in the OHL and with Team Canada
We here in the Bruins organization realize that Doug will be a big loss and wish him the best with his new position with Columbus. We are very proud that, of all the candidates, Doug was chosen as the cream of the crop.

One of or potentially both of Jonathon Blum or Ryan Ellis can go for a centre. Essentially any of my prospects outside of Josi, Hellberg and Ekholm can be had, along with select roster players. Looking for a #1 centre and a top six winger.
