With Schultz gone, we have a trade to announce.

To
Washington's 4th 2012

To
Andrew Ference

We love Andrew Ference. He's a great veteran addition who is cheap, trustworthy and plays with a heart unmatched by many.

Things are heating up for all 4 of our players on the block.

Getzlaf, Ryan, Hiller and Visnovsky all have big offers.

Also looking to move Lydman and Cogliano

Alright, change of plans. Alexander Edler is on the block for a strong #2 center. Ryan Kesler will be moved for a top pairing defenseman.

Trade Block
Roberto Luongo for a young top 6/9 forward
Ryan Kesler for a top pairing defenseman
Alex Edler for a above average #2 center
Mason Raymond & David Booth for an improvement on the wing
Keith Ballard, Manny Malhotra, Andrew Alberts for picks

1st round pick and prospects are available as always.

confirm. Thanks to Andrew for his years of putting himself on the line for us, but it was time for us to go in a different direction on the blueline.

Staal is receiving a ton of interest. Looking for a high 1st+top 6 forward+depending on the other pieces.

Ward for a young D/forward+1st

Pitkanen, Jokinen, and Ruutu also available.

are possibly looking to take a package deal for either Duchene or Stastny.

IF YOU OFFER A PACKAGE DEAL, YOU MUST INCLUDE A FIRST ROUNDER IN THIS YEARS DRAFT

Michael Handzus has a full NMC, but he is a poor fit in SJ, and while a solid player, doesn't fit our game plan. If you are interested in him, we will take a 7th. He has only this year left at 2.5 million per.

Also, Niemi has generated some interest, but nothing especially interesting.

Top offers:
Clowe- Top W prospect, 1st; Top 6 forward; 2 W prospects+2nd
Murray- traded for NYI 2nd 2012.
Boyle- considering he can only block a trade to 8 teams, and he is second among active d-men in playoff points, I am surprised there is not more interest.
Mitchell's rights- available for a 7th 2012.

Visnovsky can be moved in a deal for a right-sided defenseman...

Cogliano can go for picks/prospects.

Getzlaf will remain a Duck, we'd like to see him through a bounceback year... the market for a #1 C is big.. but the amount available is slim... moving Ryan would mean just creating another hole in our lineup.

Bobby Ryan on the other hand is available, we expect to receive a high end defenseman for him + . This or a top #2 C in the league. Get your offers in.

Some interest in Jarome Iginla and Miikka Kiprusoff but nothing significant enough to move them.

Patrick Sharp

Jonas Hiller

We wish Hiller the best in Chicago, he is a #1 goaltender, but we felt our team could use a fresh face that could provide more consistent tending in regards to health and workload. We're very excited to have such a versatile player join our Top 6. Capable of playing all 3 forward positions, Patrick will likely join our 2nd line as a LW or C depending on the offseason moves.

Our search for a new goaltender has begun.

Ouch. If I'm a prospective FA, this puts massive alarm bells up about the loyalty of a franchise.

confirm.

We couldn't go into next season without a big-time #1 starting goaltender. We wish Sharp the best in Anaheim and it will hurt to lose him but the addition of Hiller will be a huge one.
