We don't even have a new CBA for next year, who's to say this isn't the case every year from now on?

NHLPA wanted this the last time and the owners got the better end out of the CBA IMO. I don't think much will change and be different.

Cap circumvention like the Hossa or Luongo deal won't be possible, that's for sure

FWIW, this from cap geek:

Cervenka's bonuses totalling $2m are for Hart, Richard, Selke and Conn Smythe voting, all-star team selection, and top-10 scoring stats.
So yeah, he isn't hitting those bonuses and if he did, you'd be glad he did.

Even so, he won't do much in the NHL anyway, so whats the point?

As I said, I would prefer we go after Jokinen over him, we dont need another soft rookie in our line up.

yea, the owners sure fleeced the players, what with a whopping 43% stake.

He is a big guy 6'2" who can score and could play gritty
i don't know if he can fight the hands and skating are good, but not worldclass
Maybe he could get a ELC, but i'm not too sure about it

Moser's most famous moment:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvY2zsK4sCE

I must admit that he made a huge progress in the last two year and he could turn into a solid 4th or 3rd liner even at NHL-level, but he'd need at least one season in the AHL. But he has the tools. He played in Langnau, this year quite a weak team, and was dominating it. He's at least worth a look at, maybe even in the main camp in September.

in other words... it would be the same like it was with Olimb. I don't see a chance that he actually makes it on our roster

No Olimb was small.

Moser will be our Kopecky replacement.

I don't think he will make the roster of a contending team. Will take a look at him soon enough in the WCs

Just going to throw this out there, but if Gomez get's bought out I would not mind him centering Hossa. I'm sure he can be signed for about 1M, probably less. There's your playmaking center. Low risk, potentially high reward.

You want to sign a guy who went an entire calendar year without a goal to be in our top six?

Oi.

are you serious?? Carey Prices sophomore season he had a GAA of 2.83 and SV% of .905!
And his Sophomore Playoffs were 4.11 and .878%

Montreal Should have given up on him after his second season! That's when you truly see what a goalie is worth, the sophomore season. He'll never win anything for anybody! They should have signed a free agent when they had a chance!

where is the high reward? If he channels the player he was five years ago?

really? you want to come and tell us that Price is bad?

Price was the last reason why the Habs suck

Welcome to HF, where Tim Thomas and Carey Price are worse than Corey Crawford

Haha, this. I'm not sure what it is with HF. It's the only board where I constantly see fans wanting to improve their team at a given position, and then proceed to trash other players who would clearly do just that in the same breath.

I think Rexy was being sarcastic. Price had a bad year in his sophomore season and has since rebounded. I think he was just pointing out the fact that some of you are beating up on Crawford for having a bad sophomore season when it has happened to plenty of goalies who turn out just fine.

Sorry, but comparing Crawford to Price is absurd. Crawford has had 1 season among his 7 professional seasons that could be considered exceptional. Maybe 2 out of 7 if you count 08-09.

People act like this past year is some great aberration for him. It's basically what he was in Norfolk and Rockford for years. It's what he is likely to be next year and beyond also.
