Grossmann isnt ready

Apr 28, 10:04 AM - Philadelphia

Seemingly in the final stages of recovering from a concussion, Nicklas Grossmann practiced Thursday not wearing a no-contact green jersey that was on his back a day earlier. The big defensman said he hadn't been told that he was cleared for contact and he just wore the jersey that was in his locker. He also said he took no hits in practice. - Courier Post

We'll win this one 5-3. Jagr with two goals.

I think that Kovalchuk will look healthier this series than he did against the Panthers. That ice is just terrible, and if he has some groin problems that could have been slowing him down even further. I'm expecting Coburn and Grossmann to go up against him, and I think they'll do a good job at it. If we mainly play Couturier against Kovalchuk as well, I wouldn't mind switching Simmonds to that line, and have Wellwood with Schenn and Read.

^ It's a matter of medical clearance, but Grossmann has been practicing.

VOORHEES, N. J. - Nicklas Grossmann worked with usual partner Braydon Coburn at Saturday’s rather short Flyers practice.

That’s another sign the big Swede will re-enter the lineup for Game 1 of the Flyers-Devils series on Sunday.

Grossmann has been sidelined with a concussion, missing Games 5 & 6 against Pittsburgh. He admits it has been so long since he last was concussed. He’s not certain how he is supposed to feel to know he is 100 percent ready to go.

Alright, food shopping is done. I am ready, Flyers need to come out strong. Maybe another G-like shift to start the game off, that would be good.

Great song choice, so excited to see how the boys come out to play. Hopefully it's a good game for the orange and black.

Let's go Flyers

Beat the Devils and their annoying, overconfident fans. (for further reasoning as to why I'm cheering for you guys, refer to the Devils "out of town scoreboard thread")

3 -1 Devils! Flyers just a bit too rusty for game 1!

I used to get baked out of my gourd and listen to the super creepy intro to "Hell Awaits". Good times.

Go Flyers!!!

Sens were 3-1 against us, and we owned the Caps in 09 and 11. Regular season means nothing to Rangers fans. A lot of Rangers fans are saying you guys can't win anything with your defense, but I think you sure as hell can with that offense

Be professional, do their jobs, work hard, win 4-1, repeat 3 other times.

We are better than this team. Do it Flyers.

Here's to the Flyers coming out not flat and playing team D and getting it done offensively too, jam, jam, jam

This is the only game that I worry about in the whole series. After a long layoff and the Devils are pretty fresh, I think this has the makings of a let down. Let's hope not. If we take this, I think we're pretty much set.
