Yes. Coyle's with Huberdeau and Phillips is with Thomas Jurco.

Overtime!

Shots are 38-31 for the Sea Dogs after 3.

I'm starting to wonder what the Sharks were thinking when they gave us Coyle. Although didn't Fletcher say that without him, that deal doesn't get done?

I think they're thinking panic mode. That said, we still have yet to see what Coyle can do in a mens league.

Something like that.

EDIT: I believe he said Coyle was the main piece in that deal.

I'm listening the game to the radio and the OT sounds exciting.

Couple of big hits and chances. 9:04 remaining.

Galiev wins it and the Sea Dogs will play for the President Cup!

It was a 2 on 1 and Coyle was the 2nd guy. Galiev decided to shoot the puck.

The Sea Dogs will play against either Rimouski or Halifax (Nathan MacKinnon) in the Q finals.

Rimouski are leading the series 3-2.

If Coyle's team beats MacKinnon's team... Does that mean Coyle becomes the next Crosby? It's like Highlander, right?

So, Coyle got 1 goal and Phillips got 1 goal, 1 assist tonight.

Game highlights should come soon.

I'd love to see that if you can find the quote.

Just check in Russo's Rants archive.

GMCF said something around that IIRC.

Not direct quote but close.

That's why Wild GM Chuck Fletcher said the Setoguchi-Burns trade doesn't happen if Coyle's not involved.

"I couldn't believe he said that," Coyle said. "It gives me confidence to know they have that much confidence in me and that they wanted me that much. It gives me motivation to work harder to get there so I can really be a part of their organization and contribute."

I couldn't find a quote similar to that (regarding him being the main piece), but Fletcher noted how important it was for that trade.

Fletcher Quote
Quote:
There is no way this deal gets done if Charlie Coyle’s not in it.

Coyle was always the bigger piece IMO. I didn't care about getting Seto. I liked hearing Coyle's name.

Doesn't matter. Granlund will win in the end.

I'm still trying to find the quote on Coyle being the main piece of the trade.

I could have sworn I read it in a Russo article... unless it was during the interview he gave on RDS on draft day.

I'll say this, it's refreshing to finally have some prospects to get excited about. Granted they have a lot to prove, and not all of them may pan out. But I liked what I saw in Zucker's short stint here. And the other kids seem to be holding steady.

Well you wouldn't have been the only one. This is from a Sharks' fan last July.

Whoever finds the quote gets a prize.
