I'm not saying I'm not excited for the future, or that I don't think that GMCF is taking us in the right direction, I'm just saying that while one part of our organization has drastically improved, the on-ice product of the Wild has not, and that ultimately is what matters.
It may be an important aspect, but it keeps happening over and over in this thread and others:

Poster A: "Our prospect pool is great!"

Poster B: "The organization hasn't proven anything, the team is terrible, we're picking top 10, blah blah blah."

Every single word of that "Poster B" statement is irrelevant. We're in the "2012 Prospect Thread." Of course they haven't proven anything, that's why they're still prospects and not proven NHLers. There's no need to cut every single positive statement down, especially not here. The drafting and development portion of the team has seen a dramatic turnaround and improvement. Despite many posters best efforts, that cannot be denied. If you want to whine about production on the ice, go whine in the appropriate thread.

Human nature: you overvalue that which you already have.

Everybody thinks they are getting screwed in the power rankings, prospect rankings, trade proposals, etc.

Based on SWE/USA game Larsson needs to get better at board battles.

I would compare him to Cullen on the Wild. Falls down too easily.

And Larsson scores a goal from a nice pass to a practically empty net.

Then why do people covet what others have? I'm not sure I buy your argument. Case in point... I'd trade our farm for Florida's farm.

Case in point...the entire trade proposal forum

People generally think that what they have is worth is more than what other people think it's worth.

For example, when we talk about trading Clutter, we're talking late 1st rounder, and probably other people are thinking 2nd or 3rd. Etc.

Or that "terrible proposals involving the Wild" thread.

So, tonight's the first game of the President's Cup finals.

I won't watch the game live but Sportsnet One will replay the game at midnight so I will record it. Anyways, I bet Sportsnet will post the highlights on their website.

Who needs board-battles? All he does is dangle, snipe, n' celly.

Which doesn't do me any good because Cable One doesn't carry NHL Network.

God I miss DirecTV, and I wish Midcontinent Communications would hurry its ass up and come to an agreement to serve this building already.

Doesn't matter because unless my channel guide is lying to me, they're not playing the game tomorrow morning.

They've been replaying all the Sportsnet games up until now. Watched both Saint John a couple rounds ago and Graovac against Niagara.
