If Hortons done I want parise here. We need a top scorer as this series showed we missed scoring from horton, ryder and recchi. Also resign kelly if possible, campbell if cheap enough. Id like paille but could see them letting him walk.

Marchand Bergeron Parise
Lucic Krejci Seguin
Caron Peverley Kelly
Thornton Campbell Knight

Big Z Manchuk
Seids Ference
Darth Hamilton

Thomas
Rask

I hope your right, kelly's a great fit i just dont want to see Chia over pay. The one thing to remember, is if Chia really wants a guy he never lets it go this late. Who knows he might already have a plan of moving Seguin to center, which bumps down krejci (unless traded). The one thing that really will bug me is if Seguin is centering Caron, and another third liner he proved all year he is the best player ,and deserves to have the best talent on his line.

Keep Rask, Mottau and Campbell.

Kelly will want a nice raise so he's pretty much a goner unless he takes 2.2-2.5 or something around those lines.

I would rather keep Mottau over Zanon, Corvo can get the **** out of here.

Chara-Boychuk
Seidenberg-Hamilton
Ference-McQuiad
Mottau

This would be my plan:
Sign Rask, Kelly, Paille, Campbell
Sign Shane Doan at a 4-5m price
Sign Ryan Whitney at a 3-4m price for 1 year.
corvo,zannon,motteau walk
Hamilton plays 3rd pairing

Lucic-Krecji-Doan
Seguin-Bergeron-Marchand
Whitney-Kelly-Peverley
Spooner/knight/Thornton-Campbell-Paille

Chara-Boychuk
Seids-Ference
Quaider-Hamilton

A little different from most others... but I would rather have Doan and Whitney at the same cost as Parise or Suter.

Horton - Krejci - Lucic

Seguin - Bergeron - Marchand

Peverly - Kelly - SAUVE

Thorton - Campbell - Caron

Knight - fills in for the injuries that will happen, plays in AHL waiting
extra forward - McDermid

Chara - Boychuk

Seidenberg - Hamilton

McQuaid - Ference

Rask/Khodobin

If possible replace Kelly with higher scoring FA
Resign Zanon or sign 7th D

Stop overlooking Sauve. He is our most NHL ready prospect.

Kelly and Rask need to be resigned, would like to see Campbell if at a decent price.

As far as next year goes, Caron may be the fourth line wing in Paille's spot but no way do I count on Knight or any other forward prospects to make the team. A year in Providence (assuming they get a decent coaching staff) would be good for Knight and Spooner.

Hamilton to me may make it as the 7th D in the manner Boychuk and McQuaid were worked in during their rookie years, I think he is the real deal but breaking into what should be a cup contender as a rookie D won't be easy.

A goal scorer, a pure, game breaking goal scorer through trade or free agency should be a priority. Ideally one with size and grit. You have Thomas and Krecji to dangle; there should be a good return to be had.

And the one person who should not be brought back under any circumstances (beside Corvo) is whoever is responsible for running the power play (I believe it is Geoff Ward)

I like the idea of Doan but he really likes Phoenix and I doubt he would leave if they stay there.

Pass depth isn't the problem a pure goal scorer is a huge need. Not sure Whitney or Doan would leave Phx

Not only the playoffs, he was offered a contract before the trade deadline and when none of those guys signed, made me think they would walk

No quick upgrades for the Bruins here. doubt they will bite on a Suter or Parise with what they will command.

The Bruins need some shooters that fit the system. Chia needs to get on the phone and ask about Ryder...

Are you forgetting that Ryder did'nt fit the system he only had one 30 goal season out of 3 that he was here.

Sauve can't stay healthy he even got hurt when he was called up, but i agree he is their most NHL ready prospect followed closely by Knight.

If we can't sign Parise, I like Doan...& based on his play stats, this year, Hamilton appears to ready....I do hope Horton is ok though...

The Bruins and PC does not have a cup top fall back on i would like Kelly back but think he get moore elsewhere. I like to see Campbell and Motteau back. But if Horton won't be back till mid season then PC needs to use his Money and Savard Money and get a true sniper. But think they need a passer for the PP also.

Of the OP's list, I could literally see only Campbell and Rask coming back.

I honestly believe they attempted to sign Kelly around the time they inked Peverley and would have him signed already if they thought they could.

Rolston, well, he's Rolston and he's likely gone.

No way Corvo is back.

Ditto Mottau.

MAYBE Zanon, whom I liked and thought was hard-nosed and solid.

Turco is likely going to retire.

Pouliot was a nice piece, but there are quite a few kids getting into position to crack the line-up and I don't want him blocking them (e.g., Caron, Knight, Spooner, et al).

Big MAYBE on Paille as well, but I have a feeling someone is going to give him more money than he's worh to play out of position on a line he shouldn't be playing on. The guy is perfect right where he is, doing what he does.

I feel fairly certain TT is a goner now that his NMC will lift 7/1.

Thoughts on the off season.

Tim thomas is a playoff warrior. He almost singlehandedly won us this series. I've had a love hate relationship in regards to him. Today I love the man. Depending on his plans for the years after the upcoming year I put out feelers for him, if something big bites i consider moving him. If he wants to truly remain and retire a bruin, I give him this option, he deserves it. I do not trade him solely for his politcal views.

I make it known to Lucic and Krejci that the organization as a whole is not pleased with them. If we can get something big for them, I consider moving them. They have a lot to make up for.

I honestly consider resigning Rolston to a 1-2 mill contract, the cheaper the better. I was pleased with him.

I think Kelly has other plans than being in boston. Though I give him what the team deems a reasonable offer.

If I can resign the 4th line for cheap, I do it. I take Pouliot back at about the same contract.

I don't pay Zanon 2mill, some other team might. I think we have better younger options than Mattou as a 6th/7th defensemen.

I was pleased with turco, but we know he's not coming back.

Rask won't demand the money Thomas is signed to. 3-4 million maybe for a handful of years. I do it.

I think there should be a sizable amount of cap to play with. I go out looking for someone who is able to put the puck in the net, if we can get Parise I do it. I also consider trading for Iginla, I don't make a huge offer for him, but he would be nice to have.

you need a serviceable 3rd/4th line player. Perhaps this comes from the farm, otherewise you have to sign someone.

I think Chris Kelly will end up being a little too rich for the Bruins as a UFA. He's the most important bottom-6 forward on the team, but I think he'll command anywhere from $3-4 Million on the open market. I have a feeling he ends up in Toronto for some reason.

Re-sign Pouliot - 1 year @ $1.3 Million
Re-sign Rask - 2 years @ $3.75 Million
Re-sign Campbell - 3 years @ $1.6 Million

Sign Ray Whitney - 1 year @ $5 Million

Thats a ton of cap for a 2nd line player imo. But yes krejci and lucic defintely should be moved to the 2nd line. IF we get a good offer, im not against moving either.

Don't worry it doesn't kick in until 2013-2014 and even then its a limited NTC. Theres still time to trade him if the price is right.
