Lightweight bout: Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller (dec) -- Nate has yet to beat a grappler with good top control and in fact has lost to a couple at LW who aren't as good as Jim Miller (namely Joe Stevenson and Clay Guida). Granted that was a while ago but I don't think that Nate has really addressed the deficiencies in his game since then. If the fight stays standing then he could make it interesting, but I imagine that if Miller gets in trouble then he'll be able to get the takedown and land damaging strikes on Nate without getting into any sub problems.
Welterweight bout: Josh Koscheck vs. Johny Hendricks (dec) -- This'll be a close one but I think Kos is on the downside of his career while Hendricks is on the way up. There isn't a lot between these two guys but Hendricks is probably more motivated given that he could potentially earn himself a title shot with a win here, while Kos is still a ways off even with a win.
Middleweight bout: Rousimar Palhares vs. Alan Belcher (dec) -- This is a tricky one. Palhares has tapped out better grapplers than Belcher and it's pretty tempting to bet on him adding another leg to his collection. I think Belcher has the ability to stay on his bike and chip away at Palhares with strikes for three rounds though. It'll be hairy if he gets taken down but I think he's gonna be really mindful of that and play it conservative en route to a decision win.
Heavyweight bout: Pat Barry vs. Lavar Johnson (TKO) -- I think Barry will be able to use his leg kicks to good effect here -- slow Johnson down and then finish him with punches once he's hurting.
Preliminary card (Fuel TV):
Lightweight bout: Tony Ferguson vs. Michael Johnson (sub)
Flyweight bout: John Dodson vs. Tim Elliott (KO)
Welterweight bout: John Hathaway vs. Pascal Krauss (TKO)
Flyweight bout: Louis Gaudinot vs. John Lineker (dec)
Lightweight bout: Danny Castillo vs. John Cholish (sub)
Featherweight bout: Dennis Bermudez vs. Pablo Garza (TKO)
Preliminary card (Facebook):
Bantamweight bout: Roland Delorme vs. Nick Denis (KO)
Middleweight bout: Mike Massenzio vs. Karlos Vemola (TKO)
Barry probably won't get cut, but the only heavyweights in the UFC he could beat are the guys he already beat.
Pretty much, but its HW so there will always be a new crop of slow, unathletic fat guys for him to compete with.
But whatever, I don't see why people would honestly want him to get cut. Wins some, loses some but he always puts on exciting fights.
