Is Bobby Ryan still on the table?

Or Kulikov + 1st + Howden/Shore for 1st overall?

I doubt the 1st overall would be available but Kulikov as a centerpiece for Bobby Ryan would be interesting to work around.

Tallon seems to love Versteeg, though.

I wonder what he thinks about Kulikov. Does Tallon ever even draft Russians? Seems like rarely ever. Kulikov has done nothing in the postseason, did basically nothing down the stretch, and has been a liability in the biggest game of the season.

Tallon is an old-school mind and he never drafted Kuli. Not saying he'll definitely trade him, but I doubt Kulikov is some sort of untouchable right now. Especially since his value is probably high around the league because he's young, etc.

Stinks that I don't have any real hate for the team that looks like they're going to knock us out, I might even have to route for them in the next round (if the score doesnt change).... Not because I like them, because I hate the Flyers.

This isn't a physical series and every player wearing a sweater is more talented than Barch.
At least barch is a handful to play against, he skates well, is good on the boards and drives to the net.

Dineen makes you wonder what he's thinking. We're generating NOTHING offensively and all the lines stay the same. Bergie, Goc, and Sammy do not seem to be getting enough and Kulikov is getting too much ice time. Really frustrating to watch. I'd like to see him mix it up.

well.... let's get ready to enjoy the last 20 minutes of hockey of the season.

not happy to say it - was hoping this group would figure out a way to get it done - but the bottom line is this isn't a good team. they aren't good defensively. they do not consistently outwork opponents. the execution from the backend, where it all starts, just isn't good enough. it's everyone. guds and jovo are, together, a turnover machine back there. kuli's been awful. the forward support's been bad as well. the forwards were running a firedrill on the first goal. and guys were outworked all over the ice on the 2nd. the 5 man game has been so inconsistent, there's juts no denying.

the worst thing is... you realize that a lot of these guys are flawed and we're stuck with them. jovo isn't going anywhere. kuli's got some real bad habits. the forwards? oy vey.

anyhow, let's enjoy the end.

I'm going for Philly. Their win got us into the playoffs + this Devils team kinda pisses me off now.

I have absolutely no hope with the way they're playing about getting two goals to tie it when they TWO shots on goal in the 2nd period. Every time they get to the Devils blue line, it comes back the other way. It's just absolutely pathetic. What a way not to show many non-hockey fans at the game just how not to show up

Kulikov has a ton of value and is due for a raise. I don't think the Russian factor is that big of a deal. In interviews he comes off as completely North American but I get what you're saying. Pre knee injury, it would have really surprised me to see him moved. Not anymore.

As far as Versteeg, I think Tallon has his favorites but he isn't going to not weigh the best thing for the franchise. Perhaps Versteeg is being asked to do to much. He isn't a first line player. Definitely a second line winger.

The difference in this series looks like it is going to be the Devils fourth line has owned ours. My question is will Dineen try to create some offence or will he go into his usual uncreative mode. Smithson, Upshall have no business getting any ice time in third. Move Matthias up a line or two for crissake. He at least has some jump.

Completely flat, that's all I can say. Worst game we've played all series, its unfortunate.

We're going to need some sort of massive turnaround to get back in this game. Let's just get it to OT and go from there.

Guys have to remember when Tallon got control of this team he had nothing but excellent things to say about Kulikov, and how he was pretty much the only untouchable. Things change, but I doubt that goes out the window from a bad playoff series.

Tons of people playing absolutely garbage. Where the hell is the guy in my avatar at? Where has he been all series? Played great down the stretch and just ****ing turtles in the playoffs? Seems like Tallon has put together a team that can get it done in the regular season, but we lack the hard nosed gritty players to tough it out when the going gets tough in the playoffs. Saw that from the start. Time and again our most consistent players have been the ones who for a living grind. Kopecky, Goc, Bergenheim, Madden.

When your finesse players can't get on the score sheet, and are useless at all other aspects of the game in the playoffs, something is wrong.
