Swedish tabloid ranks the 10 biggest stars in the WC

Malkin as number one, obviously, and Duncan Keith as number ten. Everybody loves rankings so, fire away!

Apparently Wennerholm gave Keith three stars out of five and international superstar Staffan Kronwall four stars, yet Keith is still, correctly, top 10 in this list made by the same guy?

Maybe his e-mail inbox is full of messages, correcting him?

Maybe he don't like him, but recognize Keith's stardom?

Or maybe he's just trolling us.

Perry was the best player in the league a year ago. It's not that funny.

I get that it's a swedish tabloid, but Karlsson at 2? He's not even the biggest name on his own team.

If you buy that mean Anrell, Ros and Nyström are nothing but trained monkeys posing as journalists, ya ok.

Biggest name = biggest star?

Karlsson has been the best and most important player for Ottawa this season.

In my mind biggest star = biggest name and thus Erik Karlsson isn't the biggest name on Team Sweden.

Not to take anything away from Duncan Keith, but to the casual hockey fan in Sweden, he isn't a big name.
That, however, says more about casual swedish hockey fans than Duncan Keith.

I'd say that's a misconception. He's pretty well become everyone's favourite player overnight.

Not too shabby for being made by mr Wennerholm.. he could certainly do worse. I'd change a few things around but not too much

That was actually Daniel Sedin. Perry was the most valuable player to his team. Perry over Datsyuk is hillarious. Perry's ppg including the playoffs, was only a bit higher than Datsyuk. Datsyuk is also the best defensive forward in the league, so it is pretty funny.

you guys laugh to stupid things.

the ranking is fine, datsyuk should be ahead of perry, but the guy has recently won a hart trophy... not many players can claim that. his ranking is justified.

No he shouldn't. Datsyuk is top-10 forward, Perry barely is.. hell if he is even top-20 at the moment.

I'm surprised to see even 1 finn in top10 and with my limited understanding of swedish, last year's WHC + being captain of NHL team weighted heavily in this selection. If i had to choose 1 player from finnish squad to make top10 it would've been Lehtonen, Mikko had "bad year" and Lehtonen played awesome with Stars this year.

All in all not that bad list coming from european hockey analyst, who barely see any NHL games.

I guess he wanted to include players from as many countries as possible, and Koivu is a fine choce anyway. Though Lehtonen is the best goalie in this tournament, I still believe Koivu is our most important player.

How is Tavares not on this list? He has been Canada's best player for 2 consecutive years now. He should be top 5.

Mikko didn't have a bad year, he was injured. He missed almost 30 games and was 2nd in scoring for the wild... only 9 points less than Heater. Also when Mikko was playing Wild had a winning trend which lost when he got injured.. Lehtonen is good yeah, but IMO Mikko is our biggest star like that list says.
