I've always had this impression about Rinne that he is VERY overrated because he plays infront of Suter and Weber.

He faced the most shots out of all goalies in the NHL.

Anyway...

1. Rinne
2. M. Koivu
3. Selanne
4. Kiprusoff/Lehtonen
5. Filppula

I've heard hes even better than he looks because he has played like he has for the Nashville Predators.

The Swede got it right.

Yes, Granlund and Vatanen will play in NA next season. A couple of players from SM-Liiga might sign two-way deal too, but they are not directly "prospects" as Granlund and Vatanen.

I've heard rumblings of Pulkkinen coming to play for the Griffs next season in Gran Rapids, but I assume he will stay in Europe for another year.

Lehtonen showed why he was drafted 2nd overall this year. A shame the team fell on their face at the end again, but Kari was the reason the stars had their bright moments and even had a sniff.

In a year or 2, I think Teemu Hartikainnen is gonna be a well known 2-way plumber for the Oilers.

I am pretty sure that Weber and Suter don't play 60 minutes each, every game. That leaves Blum, Hillen, Ellis etc playing in front of him also.

By the way, Rinne's team is playing in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. So you think the #1 goalie of a team making the final 8 out of 30 NHL teams two years in a row is very overrated? My math says that is a 7% chance of happening.

How can Rinne play infront of Weber and Suter? Do they stand behind the net or what?

When we talk about the best of the best, imo its good to do top seven.
My top 7 for Finland

1. P. Rinne (G)
2. V. Filppula (F)
3. M Koivu (F)
4. K. Lehtonen (G)
5. M Granlund (Starting to recover and show energy and do the good old "ownage" on the ice again btw) (F)
6. T. Selänne (Is below koivu and filppula because aint so good 2way, doesnt play shorthanded ect.) (F)
7. J. Pitkänen (D)

Even thought after Pitkänen there still is Timonen, Salo then litle gap and Lydman, it would be important time to Määttä and Vatanen to capitalize their potentional and some new prospects to raise for the D also.
Timonen is better than Pitkanen.

Only reason i have to value Selanne over Mikko is Selanne's leadership.

Antti Miettinen is the best. Gongrats Jets!

To be honest the number of Finnish players in the NHL has declined as the level of KHL has gone up. And now we got 30+ players in the KHL and less than 20 skaters in NHL.

I think that's the way it's going to be. Russia is close and the money is as good so why bother moving to another continent?

What's your logic here? You mean who are the best at the moment? Or why on earth would you have Ruuttu ahead of teräväinen and MaG ahead of Barkov?

Well, they were in no particular order as it's pretty tough to do that with guys who are at different stages of their development. It was meant to be a snapshot of our top prospects overall ATM.

Likely roster for Sotchi 2014:

T.Ruutu-M.Koivu-Filppula
Pitkänen-Lydman

Bergenheim-S.Koivu-J.Jokinen
Timonen-Vaananen

Korpikoski-Granlund-Leino
Vatanen-Salmela

Hagman-Immonen-Komarov
Niskala-Kukkonen

Rinne
Lehtonen
Rask

Unfortunate part is that our best forwards are small. This is on average a smallish team, we might consider taking out guys like Hagman and Immonen and replacing with Joensuu, Petrell, etc.
