Shot significantly worse with 20k

I switched from a Nexus 1000 Kane to a 20k Datsyuk recently , and my shot is not nearly as good. Anybody have a possible reason why? I was thinking it could have to do with the non-rockered 20k.

Also , what would/what did you do in this situation ? Work on your shot with the new stick , or switch back to your old trusty ?

If it's the same flex, then it might be that you're not used to the way the 20K loads. It's a low kick stick so you won't be able to feel the stick load and release as significantly as the Nexus 1000. I suggest speeding up your loading/weight transfer process and you don't have to follow through as much. See if that works.

The Nexus is 67, 20k is 65. Basically just work on releasing it quicker ?

I don't if it might be the reason but it could be...The Datsyuk curve is signifigantly deeper than the Kane curve. That might be something to consider as well as the low kick point compared to the mid kick.

Try different ways to load the stick, placing your hands in different places etc. You should be able to find a sweet spot after some adjustment.

I'm guessing the Reebok is going to feel a good deal stiffer. I've always found Reeboks WAY stiff for the rating, and the Nexus might be the whippiest stick for the rating. Would be like 60 flex vs 75-80 IMO.

Different curves can make a huge difference in shot power/accuracy. You'll have to adjust.

Also what AIR said. I broke my RS a few nights ago and the Dolo I'm using is just a different animal. It's stiffer, but it will load much quicker thus I have to readjust everything I am doing when shooting. The good thing is I need less time to shoot, the bad thing is it kinda feels wierd is if I am doing it right.

I tried to shop around for another RS, but currently there are no good deals on it, so I'll just use the sticks I have gathered through the years...
