Pretty sure Shane Warne did this while playing top level cricket and didn't get in trouble for it.

The problem guys, is that he is losing them faster than new ones can be made to grow.

Slater has some of the worst hands I've seen in a while. Thank god that we have Smith joining the team.

Bobby came up with a big defensive play. Fowler had one of the bigger gaffes of the game; bailed out by Howard.

Cam and Bobby linked up for the best goal of the game so far.

Game tied 1-1. Kazakhstan goal scored by Ryan Getzlaf's ex-Calgary Hitmen linemate Konstantin Pushkarev.

Anyone that thinks we should add Stastny to play with Ryan should take a look at a replay of today's game. I'd rather partner him up with Rod Pelly.

Cam had a solid defensive performance again today. Not much on the offensive side of things.

Ryan was bad in general today.

He hasn't had much chemistry with Stastny this entire tournament. Pacioretty on the other hand has had some nice moments with Bobby.

Stastny likes to work near the goal line, and Bobby has been on the side and in the slot a lot.

Just watched the game. Cam was pretty underwhelming offensively other than a great slap shot and being the only guy who could keep the puck at the line.

But I was so impressed with his defensive game. He was winning puck battles, he was positioned well and I think he only let one guy get by him. I counted 6 steals and 4 interceptions from him

Obviousely, these are good signs for Fowler.
He is a proven ofensive talent and he has showned it in OHL and NHL in his first season, when he was on 0,5 PPG pace.
It is said by Ducks managment that he took more defensive role this year to became more complete defender. This season he just concentrates on defense.
His offense wont disapear and he`ll be back on track in next few seasons.

He's playing big minutes. 24 minutes in this game, and roughly 20 minutes per game throughout the tournament.

Allowed 6 goals against Finland in last years final and they awarded him the "best goalie of the tournament"

Exactly. Sometimes i just don't understand these scouts and gm's who's willing to give horrible goalies like fasth, one way contract. (I hope that they are watching these games and wont make the deal)

edit. of course it's still a rumor, but anyway..

I think he's had a bad tournament, but really, I'm shocked at how questionable the Swedish defense has looked.

Team USA as a whole looked slow. I'll accept the second game of a back to back excuse. Bobby did okay considering everyone else as well didn't have that great a game. Cam once again was moving the puck well. I hope Bruce is watching the WC.

I think the US has a tendency to play down to their opponent and/or they just don't take some teams as seriously as they should.

Fasth hasn't been stable since the SEL playoffs, neither him or Enroth looked good in the pre-tournament games so goaltending was the questionmark for Sweden going into the tournament.

Fasth was good both against the Czechs and against Germany though, and was declared team Swedens #1 goaltender after that. This was his first bad game, but Sweden didn't lose because of him. They started focusing on the wrong things (Emelin) and couldn't score on a five minute power play. With Enroth in net, maybe they would have lost 3-5 instead, but they wouldn't have won taking those penalties while being awful on the PK...

I wonder though if Fasth is playing his way out of Anaheim (before he's even in).

Exactly. Not to take anything away from Kazakhstan. Their goalie was the difference between an OTL and a blowout, and they played to that.

Cam has looked awesome in the tournament IMO. He has been making great decisions with the puck, resetting the play, finding the open man, etc...
