So who are you rooting for now?

I think it's been enough time since our exit to ask,

Who are you rooting for now?

Ultimately the Senapreds alliance should take priority, but other than them I'm rooting for the Kings. Always had some form of soft spot, no idea why though

Discuss.

No one.

There is no such thing as hockey after elimination.

An LA-Rangers final is the best thing the NHL could ask for in the finals in terms of getting visibility in the US.

I'll watch the WC's and then that'll be it. Only hockey I watched today was the Canadian Girl's Midget championship game... so yeah, not rooting for anyone and won't watch. I AM rooting for some individual players, and rooting against a whole bunch more, but I don't really care enough to watch. Off-season mode has begun - I will right the wrongs of the Sens season with NHL 12 on my PlayStation.

Nashville, Phoenix, LA out of the West, Philly out of the East. Preferably a Nashville - Philly final.

Since the Sens played quite well in Round 1 and they Rangers were able to shut us down with a slight edge, they've earned my respect so the Rangers for the East.

Since I'm a big fan of Mike Fisher, I would love to see him win the cup so Nashville for the West.

Mike Fisher and Brian Elliott. Rangers in the east. Hockey fans watch till the end of the playoffs.

I'll probably watch the SC finals, but currently have no interest in the other rounds.

I'm a fan of hockey but after a long season and a disappointing end, it doesn't make me any less of a fan if I feel the need for a break for the next round or two.

Frankly I think it does. It's this type of attitude that causes people to make ridiculous statements like Spezza is one of the three best centres in the league or that Anderson is among the top ten goalies. They're not. Maybe if some of our fans took the blinkers off and watched some of the quality teams that have advanced they'd realize there's more to this league than the Ottawa Senators.

So what about the people with "this attitude" that have never made any of those claims and know Spezza/Anderson is not top 10 in their roles?

As for watching other quality teams, I have throughout the season and I watched many of the other teams in the 1st round. Now with the Sens out (since you know, I'm a Sens fan) so what if I feel burnt out from watching so much hockey this year that I need a couple weeks to get back into it?

Does a "true fan of baseball" need to watch all 162+ games and then some?

I have favorites. (Nashville. St. Louis. Philly) but I am not cheering for anyone. Dot have any particular attachments to teams so I have no reason to root for them.

I want to see a Philadelphia vs. Los Angeles final just for the drama that the media would make out of it.

Sorry if I offended you. I suspect you're a very good fan but I've been reading so much navel-gazing drivel on here the past couple of days that it could be affecting my sanity. I'm sure I've skipped a series here and there over the years as well.

You don't support cheering for another team if your team isn't playing?

Just for amusement sake I'd like to see a team out of the west win it, preferably phoenix or nashville.

Doesn't matter all that much. As a hockey fan, I will keep an eye on all the games, maybe watch some with friends.

Not going to be specifically cheering for anyone but I would like to see Nashville do well as they are a very likeable team with great fans. Love Rinne, great depth and of course Fisher.

And in the East, really no preference at all. I guess it would be cool to see the Caps pull off the upset on the Rangers and Philly is exciting to watch thanks to Giroux.

It would be funny to see LA - PHI just because of Carter and Richards so I'll go with that
