I wouldn't be opposed if the Giants gave him a look at the third WR spot, only if Hixon is showing signs of wear on the knees. Healthy Hixon is a proven playmaker, and the X-Factor to the season if you ask me.

Jets defense is looking pretty ****ing good. The pass blocking, as expected, is a major weakness. When being given time, Sanchez has looked solid to me besides that throw. It's unfortunate it turned to a TD, but it happens. Eli's pick was a terrible throw too.

Sanchez wasn't amazing but it's tough to get on the guy. He didn't have Kerley and Holmes to throw to out there and with Wayne Hunter on the offensive line, you may as well have only 4 guys blocking for you. I mean the offensive line was giving him no time at all. He made the one bad pass that got picked but other than that he was 7/9. Not too many tough passes but again, he was missing his #1 and #3 receivers.
This is how I feel about the entire Cowboys team. Every year. Once again, I'm prepared for failure. I won't even be disappointed. I just expect it at this point. I've never seen worse execution from a team on such a consistent basis.
Of course the so called "experts" will have them making the playoffs, doing damage, and contending for the Superbowl. They are stupid. They never learn. It's like those who predict the Devils demise year after year. The Cowboys will suck. They might sneak into the playoffs on talent alone, but they won't go anywhere from there. They probably won't even make it. Thank God I have the Devils to balance out the inevitable letdown of the Cowboys season.
Some folks (not necessarily here, just in general) are leaping to wild conclusions based on preseason games. The starters barely play, it's just an opportunity to get game-like reps for the second string guys and work out some of the kinks. I wouldn't draw any serious conclusions from them.

Not to mention many teams aren't in a rush to reveal their playbooks in meaningless games.
Yep, but despite this, we have people who should know better, like the Colts' owner, confidently declaring that Luck will be a superstar based on his performance in a preseason game. This strikes me as pure lunacy, dangerous overconfidence, or both.

Ryan Leaf was huge in his first preseason game, not saying its foreshadowing the future for Luck but its worth noting.
EDIT: Looked it up, he was 14 for 19 with 143 yards and 2 TDs.

In my case, while I do base a little of my frustrations on preseason, that's not a huge factor. It's past performance, team makeup, mostly Jones still being in charge or football operations.
That said, you can draw some conclusions from preseason I think. Yeah, guys aren't going full speed, many plays won't be used so as to keep them secret until the games matter, etc. However, if the team can't execute an obviously over-simplified gameplan at all, even if it's only for a few series or a couple quarters, it should be troubling. If the team is getting constant penalties, that should be a concern. If the fundamentals aren't there, that's something you should worry about. This is what I see with the Cowboys. Constant stupid penalties. Guys running the wrong routes. The offensive line consistently missing their blocks. The secondary still confused about who is supposed to cover who. The ball slipping out of the punters hand before he's ready to kick. These fundamental things that every NFL team/player should be able to execute at a high level the Cowboys continue to fail at. I don't care if it's preseason. Those guys should be able to do those things in their sleep. If their execution could ever come close to matching their talent level, they might actually be a good team.
