Don't want Versteeg anywhere near the Avs.

Kulikov + Bjugstad would be more along my train of thought.

Whaaaaat. Versteeg is good, but he won't be as good anywhere else as he is in Florida. That's his spot. Kulikov is also good, but duchene is worth aloooot more than that

I think it'd be a pretty big mistake for Florida to trade Kulikov. I wouldn't hesitate to make Duchene available if it was under my control. If Florida was interested, I don't think they'd have to add anything -- Kulikov for Duchene alone would be feasible, at least from the Avalanche side I would think.

That is Crosby/Malkin worthy. Kulikov is a #1 defenseman and future Top 10 in the League. Every time Versteeg touches the puck their is a scoring chance for the Panthers.

Luongo.

You can keep Versteeg though. Or we can send Raymond your way to balance it out.

A very strange combo to package in a proposal. Versteeg and Kulikov are both restricted free agents so their trade value is diminished and the first round pick is at it is.

Versteeg is still young, has upside, and is a scorer on a team that needs scoring. Why trade him?

Kulikov is a proven, young PMD still recovering from knee surgery, who is viewed as a future cornerstone of the franchise. Why trade him? Why package him with Versteeg?

Tallon has stated that the Panthers intend to rebuild through the draft. Why trade our no. 1 pick.

As for Duchene, if the Avs really want to trade him, I am sure that the Panthers ( as well as a lot of other teams) would put together an attractive package.

Either Kulikov or Gudbranson would need to be a part of any deal involving Duchene.

No Gudbranson here, I'd really like to see Kulikov though. As much as I am a fan of Duchene, Kulikov is one of a handful of young defenders I'd be willing to move him for.

Of course, 1 for 1 I don't believe is even. Duchene had 1 down season, but before that he was picked earlier in the draft and has a higher ceiling.

Panthers would immediately take a step up in the world if they ran with Huberdeau, Duchene and Weiss down the middle.

Panthers would need to add something enticing to Gudbranson, but I would want one of those two coming back.

We aren't, we're just discussing his trade value. In reality I don't see him being moved and I don't see Kulikov moving either.

This ^

And a little further, there ARE some of us outside Florida who recognize Kulikov's skill/potential and Colorado really needs a defender like him to pair with EJ.

Duchene is one of the few assets Avs fans have identified as moveable due to surplus in the area and his down season, but he's also one of the few players most teams would accept in a move like the aforementioned.

So that's why Duchy's name was brought up.

No chances in hell we move Kulikov.

I'm disappointed in you Soupy for proposing this.

Yeah, in our own net.

Steeg has his moments, but the last 20-30 games + playoffs he was frustrating as hell to watch.

Guds has more value than Kuli. At least in DT's eyes.

I'm sure you know better, but from my POV Kulikov will be a much better player.
