Why is the #2 seed playing the #1 seed in the second round?

No, we're not playing the Barons.

From the AHL twitter feed:

RT @AHLPR: If Chicago wins Friday, West semis are OKC-ABB, TOR-CHI... If San Antonio wins Friday, West semis are OKC-SA, TOR-ABB #CalderCup

Match-ups won't be decided until after tomorrow's game. We CANNOT play the Barons in the 2nd round.

I thought we already went over this in the last thread, that they were re-seeded after each round...

Yup we did after I brought it up.

I just hope it starts soon. I really want to see the 2nd round. Best of 7's is where it's at!

Logic says the full Round 2 schedule will be up after Round 1 is over, as building availability for Chicago/Abbotsford for games 3 and 4 is not yet known.

I'm kind of hoping Chicago beats S.A. tonight. Abbotsford was on a good pace to finish out the season, and made quick work of their first round opponents. Let them face OKC and we can take the winner of that .

Seems like the Marlies will face either the Wolves or the Heat. Going to by a hard series either way it seems.

2-1 San Antonio over Chicago with 4 mins left. If this scores holds, we play the red-hot Abbotsford Heat, who are currently on a 10-game winning streak.

If Chicago wins, we play them. Eddie Lack's goaltending gives me nightmares as a Marlies fan.

Edit: 2-2 now, going to OT.

Why would you hope for the Heat? They have won ten games in a row, including a first round sweep and a season ending two-game sweep of the Marlies as well.

Better record than that of the wolves as we split the season series I believe. It will be a true challenge don't you think ?

Good seats in Ricoh?

Thinking of going to watch the Marlies on Tuesday. For anyone who's been to a Marlies game, I'm wondering how the seats are. Is it pretty good throughout the arena or are some just better than others?

Seating chart: http://www.marlies.ca/assets/default...ound2_2012.JPG

Every seat is a good seat, the Ricoh is small, so the worst possible seat is like the last row of reds at the ACC. Regardless, games won't fill up and the employees will actually tell you to fill unoccupied seats so what i do is buy the $13 standing area seat then find an empty at the start of the 2nd.

Went to a game last week, and yup, not a bad seat in the house. Basically cut the top of the ACC off and you have Ricoh. Seats around 8000 I think. Have fun!
