Yeah, but still completely unnecessary with 20 seconds left. Just play safe hockey.

Pretty entertaining game. Some good chances both ways, and the energy is still coming...big hits, diving blocks...this is good playoff hockey.

last year, when it ended with Hamilton, wasn't it double or triple OT too. Lack had a great game then too.

hopefully results are different this time around

That 2-on-1 chance needed at least a shot, the announcers were right. Hopefully that doesn't become the "what if..." moment of this game.

Eddie Lack, as I'm sure many will point out, has yet to prove anything. Lots of goalkeepers star in the AHL and never make it to the NHL. Still, is there any question that Lack is now the Canucks' top prospect? I'm optimistic that some out of all the prospects on the Wolves D -- Polasek, Connauton, Sauve, and now Corrado -- will eventually see time with the big team, and I still have hopes for Schroeder, Rodin, and Jensen, but Lack seems the only one with big upside. Does anybody else on the Wolves have a shot at being an NHL star? I don't think so.

Sweatt refuses to pass on a 2-on-1 with a trailing Davies... could've been a goal easily. Reminds me of Lappy, never passes on these type of situations.

Kalamazoo is still alive. Maybe Archibald will score a goal before the playoffs are over, or Prab Rai will get into a game.

apparently Ryan Parent made a mistake that cost the Wolves the goal

too bad the stream we had didn't have instant replays, unlike the Chicago TV feed (audio stream)

Playing Parent was a bad decision by MacT. Corrado showed better in his limited time. I know it's experience and all that but Parent is just not a good player.

Well, it's a 5 game series so at least they took it as far as they could.

I've watched schroeder lot's of times at the games I've been to and I think he will be ATLEAST a 50 point player, he's got it all and reminds me so much of parise . Some games he looks a little fed up with his mates but I guess thats understandable as sweatt and davies don't have the highest hockey iq or finish.

Well they play different sides, but i definitely agree Corrado is better than Parent in all facets of the game.

Polasek over Parent is a head scratcher, especially with the way Polasek finished the season. He looked like the best defenseman on the ice for the last 2 regular season games.

Only solace we have is that Parent played his last game with this organization. Good riddance to a terrible player.

Good point. Polasek was a better option for sure. He was flying out there those last 2 games.

Tiranis, you seem to follow the club fairly closely

Why no Polasek? Was he in Mac-T's doghouse.

Well, it was a good game but the Wolves just could not finish on the great chances they generated. Compared to the Canucks who could not generate many chances, and could hardly finish on the few they did have.

Kind of fitting, too, that the duel between Markstrom and Lack would end in OT of the deciding game. Both played great, and were it not for some bounces it could have been us who moved on. It would have been nice had Rodin and Jensen been healthy. Though the 4th line did not play in OT, Jensen could have helped on the PP before that point. Schneider was just benched after the 3rd.

I thought the Wolves had the better of the play at 5 on 5 too, and some of those penalties called/not called were just... Sucks that they lost but oh well. They gave them practically all they could handle.

Polasek is still a project. His decision making is not up to an AHL level yet.
