Love how he's wearing a Duco t-shirt.
Can't make out what the front says but whatever.

Great stuff

Mancari - Reinprecht - Haydar
Sweatt - Schroeder - Rodin
Duco - Anthony - Gordon
Archibald - Friesen - Grenier

Connauton - Sauve
Polasek - Baumgartner
Andersson - Hunt

Lack
Cannata

+/- Schroeder, Lack, S. Schneider, Climie; depending on if Jordan and Eddie make the team.

Also not including future FA signings by the Canucks and/or the Wolves. The Wolves will very likely keep Hunt as he did very well and if he can keep it up I could see the Canucks offering him a contract once some of our useless ones run out (i.e. Parent, Tochkin, etc.)

I'd like to see them retain Matson as he had a decent showing near the end of the season, and the Canucks may not be inclined to give him a contract right away. Would rather he be given a shot over someone like S. Schneider who IMO needs to go. Matson seems to be have better offensive upside and wheels. And this isn't just 2007 talking!

If they could find a way to re-acquire Longpre that might help to shore up their C depth.

At this stage I'm assuming the Wolves made a mistake when they said Jensen could start in the AHL next year. If they were right though...

Mancari, Reinprecht, Haydar, Baumgartner, and Hunt are not under contract.

Yurgh, that bottom six is pretty gnarly. I'd expect them to get some AHL vets to help flesh out the ranks.

I just filled in who's under contract. I think they'll obviously try and replace Schneider and Anthony, which should make that bottom 6 much better. Archibald, Duco, Gordon, Friesen are all good enough to be bottom 6 players in the AHL.

Does anyone think that Sweatt is NHL ready? Time is ticking for the guy...

He's ready, it's just that there's no room for him. He's not going to be on your 4th line and who out of Higgins, Booth, and Hansen is he going to beat out for a spot?

What Tiranis said. He could probably play on the 3rd/4th line of a weaker team, but the Canucks have better players in those slots at the moment. Only way Sweatt sees time in the bigs this year is as an injury replacement, IMO.

Did anyone watch the 2 games Jensen played with Chicago in the playoffs? If so, how did he look?

I was thinking about the goaltending depth in the organization. Does this idea sound plausible:

This Year - 2012-2013
Sign Lack to 2-year contract
Trade 1 of Luongo/Schneider - The guy we keep plays 60 games
Bring in veteran back-up to play 10 games
Have Lack Start for the Wolves
Have Cannata back up the Wolves
Bring up Lack (if he's ready) to play ~10 games at the NHL

Next Year - 2013-2014
Lack starts as back-up for Canucks, plays 15-20 games
Cannata becomes Wolves starter

I think we can sign Lack for 2 years and he'll be RFA at the end. But I think he needs ~28 games over those 2 years or else he'll be a UFA?

So that would work. Or else we could have Climie back up Lack this year (2012-2013), and have Cannata start in the ECHL, and if Lack makes the Canucks part way through the year, bring Cannata up to be starter for the Wolves. And if Lack makes the team 2013-2014, then that would be when we bring Cannata up to the wolves.

I expect Jensen to play Top-6 next year for Chicago. I believe his size and strength make him ready to be an above average player in the AHL. Wouldn't be surprised if he comes up to Vancouver for a few games this year.

He was drafted out of the CHL.

He cannot play in the AHL next season.

Reports to the contrary are false, unless something has changed.

Jensen will be in the OHL one more year, just like Hodgson was.

edit****I'd like to see Cannatta get accustomed to the Pro game in the ECHL. Climie is under contract for next year, Lack could use a heavier work load in the AHL, and Schneider will need a veteran back-up if Luongo is moved.

He turns 20 this year does he not? Once you're 20, you can make the jump.

I was hoping they were actually true, but the date he turns 20 is after the cutoff date for eligibility to start in the AHL I believe.

The one I heard it from was the Wolves themselves, no joke.

And it looks like the Wolves lose their head coach as MacT's back with the Oilers:

Jensen turned 19 in March this year, and will surprisingly enough, not turn 20 until March next year. To almost quote Mark Twain, the rumours of Jensens AHL eligibility has been greatly exaggerated.

Ah well, maybe Scott Arniel can coach the Wolves (hopefully). I think he's still here in the organization in the same capacity (scouting or some such).

Ryan Parent rumored to be looking at signing overseas. Good riddance.
