1) Vancouver ***** and pillaves in the proposed deal.

Ottawa Fans,

Michalek is a speculative play, he scored alot of goals this season but its far above his normal stats. There is no guarentee he keeps this pace.

Karlsson is the offensive defenseman, and Campbell would be the defensive defenseman. Impeccable defence imo with this trade.

Pretty sure there are 28 other teams in the league who can make a better pitch for Cowen. I'd think he's a non-starter for most deals with Ottawa.

Usually I would agree. But he is nt trolling, he is just a nucks fan.

No from Vancouver purely on the principle. There is robbing a team but this is just, dirty.

Campbell playing with the Ottawa 67's has nothing to do with his value at the NHL level. His talent, production at the NHL level, cap hit, contract, and age are the key factors. While he had a great bounce-back year, he's poor fit in Ottawa, who needs more defensive defenceman. In addition, Campbell's value isn't equal to a 35-goal scorer (Michalek) and a 19-year old, top-4 defenceman (Cowen). His value is much, much lower. For that matter, I would argue Cowen, because of his age, potential, and contract, has a much higher value that Campbell.

And to say Campbell is a "defensive defenceman" is laughable. Do you even watch hockey?

How about something based around:

To Tampa: Luongo

To Pittsburgh: Malone

To Vancouver: J. Staal

Salt and pepper to taste

That's a really, really bad deal for Pittsburgh - Staal for Malone? That's awful.

Salt and pepper to taste lol.

Basing this off rumours I've heard. One being Pittsburgh is willoing to move a centre. Another being they're looking for a big bodied left winger.

Malone has history there, and is from Pittsburgh.

When I said salt and pepper to taste I meant adding whatever else to balance things out. But this is the central idea of what I'm thinking.

What if Vancouver added a 2nd to Pitts and Tampa added Detroits 1st.

To Tampa: Luongo

To Pittsburgh: Malone, VAN 2nd, DET 1st

To Vancouver: J. Staal

In other words ...

Vancouver gives Luongo and a 2nd. Gets J. Staal

Tampa gives Malone and Det 1st. Gets Luongo

Pittsburgh gives J. Staal. Gets Malone, Van 2nd and Det 1st

Florida doesn't want Luongo or his inflated contract (or his ego).

It's unlikely that Florida would take him even if he were offered for a 7th round pick, much less for (arguably) their most valuable player - Campbell.

I think that if Tampa acquires Luongo in any way, Lecavalier has to be on his way out, there would just be too much money spent on Stamkos, St. Louis, Ohlund, Brewer and Hedman, they can't afford Luongo.

Then more I look at it, the more I realize Tampa can't give up a LW.

They only have 2 Natural LW's on the roster.

just because a player played in the area doesn't mean we'll **** our future to get him.

are we going to sign Nick Boynton to a 5-year, 35M contract just because he's 67 alumni?

Two things,
1. As Canuck fan I love this deal.
2. When did mad mike move out of the studio and into senators gm position. Clearly the fans will either turn their shoes on themselves or the gm.
