Solid list. I'd just say Nelson and Etem seem high but that's just a minor thing. Well done.

Seriously, lurk around the HFWild and you'll get it.

For G2P, I'm also curious how much of Smith you've seen.

Good work, great read.

Pretty good list, like it way more than the HF one. I'm a bit more high with the Swedes Järnkrok, J.Larsson and Gustav Nyquist though, but there are a lot of good players and cases can be made for all.

Just for fun could you name some HMs that just missed the cut at making your top 50?

As I Blues fan I was sad to see Tarasenko stay at three and Schwartz drop to 13 compared to the hockeyfutures list. But then you actually had Rattie on the list, so I forgive you.

LOL at Granlund and Kuznetsov over Tarasenko. Tarasenko tore up the same league that Kuznetsov was in – a clearly better league than Granlund was in. I know you don't like the Blues' prospects and thus dinged Schwartz too (exceptional player and vision, won't score much lolz) but just pointing out that bias in the list.

there is actually nothing wrong with that.
The fact Tarasenko is a safer and fully developed prospect doesn't make certain he will be the better player; in fact Granlund and moreover Kuznetsov have more potential than him so it could easily be seen (and go) both ways... talk about bias lol

I don't think there's this much demarcation between Huberdeau, Strome and Stone.

Isn't Jason MacIssac on that panel? He is probably the most biased poster on HF, really says a lot.

I really like your list, much better than HF's list. We know what your list is, and you explained why you have players were you do.

Come on man, where is *my team's overhyped prospect*?

Great list, love to see some Kreider praise, he's bee such a difference maker for the Rangers in the playoffs thus far.

Interesting to see Kuznetsov at 1...I remember him saying he wanted to be picked by the Rangers...

Questionable response at best.

How is Tarasenko a fully developed prospect? If he is, surely the other two are? He's only 2 months older than Granlund and about 5 months older than Kuznetsov?

True.

Vatanen is easily the second best Finnish prospect right now IMO, and not that far from Granlund. He doesn't get much hype because he is smallish and he was a 4th round pick, but he is dominant in Sm-Liiga, and I've heard hockey analysts say that he might be the best player in Sm-Liiga. Still, he seems to be completely missing from most of the top prospect lists.

The fact that he got injured and will miss the WHC's again makes me sad.

I disagree. I go to Michigan, and have season tickets to hockey. By the time he started playing, I kept waiting to be wowed, but never was. He's a good prospect, don't get me wrong, but I would agree in that he shouldn't belong on this list, and I've actually seen almost every game he's played in this year.

Forbort-Oleksiak-Morrow-Elliott-Siemens

Great list, even though I don't agree on Kuznetsov being #1. Great work as always G2P.

One player that rarely gets mentioned around here that has great upside is Drew Shore. Also thought Howden and Trocheck could crack the top50, maybe not Trocheck but he has had an outstanding season with Saginaw (second most assist in the OHL regular season). Howden has been a bit up and down, but he does so much else than just scoring points. Shore and Howden would both make my top50, maybe it's because I'm a Panthers fan, but Drew Shore is extremely underrated around here.
