missed out on Matt Read....

he seems to be a good find for the Flyers like Girardi is for the Rangers as an undrafted UFA...any undrafted UFA around this summer???

on another note, anyone think Tommy Grant has any NHL potential??? he cant be worse than John Mitchell

Tommy Grant played college hockey at University of Alaska, Anchorage. I was surprised he was picked up by the Rangers. He was a decent scorer but did not dominate at the college level. I expect to see him in the ECHL before the NHL. I hope that prediction turns out to be false and he turns it up a notch or two. Curtis Glencross, Jay Beagle and Mike Peluso also played at UAA. If he makes it to the NHL he probably wouldn't top any of them.

For Read--the Flyers might have been a better opportunity. Their prospect depth wasn't that good. The same case with Brandon Manning--both of them played in our prospect camps--both signed with the Flyers. The Flyers meanwhile trading draft picks left and right.
