I am so annoyed at looking for a job. Never got a word from siemens who I interviewed with kast week which really means I didnt get the job. Thought for sure id get an email.
Ah well at least ill be eating pizza in a few minutes
Send a follow up e-mail to the recruiter or hiring manager. Also, keep in mind that there might be other candidates being interviewed, so they may have not made their decision. I recently interviewed for a job where they told me they'd get back to me in 1.5 weeks for that very reason, and even then they didn't let me know their decision until 2.5 weeks later.
Was reading a business journal article about a week ago. Talking about the hiring process.
It was stated that about 90% of companies do NOT follow through with candidates.
(So, it may not be you, but the company who has poor qualities.)
I applied to over 50 companies and only ever got one interview ... only got actual rejections from a handful. Yeah, never go to school for worthless degrees ...

My wife has a business degree, 10 years of experience in her field, great references, and she just finally found a job after 8 months of searching. She even volunteered her time to a local employment assistance group helping other people find jobs during that time.
Point is, it's brutal out there. She was lucky to get a job in her field and not take a major paycut (she actually ended up with a slight raise, small miracle).

I can attest to this. The most easiest degree I got was a BFA in film and television.
and now I figured out a way to get hired in the educational system.
And now I am locked in at almost 10 years where retirement is totally in the bag for me!
Soccer is one of the most boring sports ever, unless you're in the field yourself.
Talking of which, went to that practice today. Coach was surprised how my instinct and control of the ball had preserved, but my speed and strength was miles behind the rest. But I had fun, that was the main point.

You must have missed the Champions league final. That or you have never seen a baseball game

Yeah, the big games are interesting. But a normal regular season game is usually really boring with little scoring. Dunno if MLS-teams support more of a offensive game, but all the European teams worry about defence first and the goals later.
I haven't actually never seen a baseball game. We have our own version of it with different rules around here.
It's more like hypnosis. I just have this inability to change the channel when curling at the winter olympics is on.
I have the same thing with terrible movies or afternoon soap operas - they are so so bad that I want to see more to ensure it was not a practical joke.

There's a good topic.
Movies you can't turn off when you run across them on tv, no matter how many times you've seen them. Bonus points if you actually own them on dvd but still for some reason watch the tv version. Double Bonus points if you don't even really like the movie that much.

I'm with you there. There's something about watching Year One at 11am on a Wednesday that you just can't say no to. Although, I worked from home the other day and Eastern Promises was on in the middle of the day. Great movie. Check it out if you want to see Viggo Mortensen as a badass Russian gangster. There's also a pretty epic naked fight scene.

I'll start:
(original) Clash of the Titans.
I could never turn off Tremors whenever it was repeating on USA Network. Bacon got me!
