I stopped watching after the "assistant audition" stuff started happening but I started watching this season. I still don't care for it much but I will see it through until the end. It really seems like they are trying to cram as many crappy storylines in the last half of the season as they can.
The International Space Station Expedition 30 crew has shot some truly awe-inspiring time-lapse sequences flying over practically every square mile of the globe.
I downloaded the high-resolution image sets that have been made available and constructed this short time-lapse piece in hi-res 2K project format. I was amazed at how clean the Nikon D3S images turned out (even at ISO 3200 and above) which kept the post-processing requirements to a minimum.
speaking of which, the next visible pass of the international space station will be monday night at 8:25pm, starting in the west, moving right to left, and ending in the south. it will be visible to the naked eye for almost a full 6 minutes. it will look like a star moving pretty fast just above the horizon.
