Kreider has really been above and beyond everything I expected him to be so far in the playoffs, he's been absolutely amazing. Two games in a row one of the best players on the ice, if not the best.
Caps hit a few posts, but a lot of those shots Hank got a piece of first, so I'm not too worried there, he's really seeing the puck well.
Amazing to start off this series 1-0, and knowing this team could be so much better. Gotta take care of business on home ice again Monday night.
Also I'm sure this pic has been posted here, but if not...my favorite shot of the playoffs so far...
Would love to get a copy of this picture without the series standings text in the lower right. Damn.
I love reading Debbies board after we win. So much hate lol. They'll find anything to complain about. Oh and apparently we employ 6 goalie defensive system. We get lucky when we win. Guess what. We get lucky ALOT.
I really hope they knock off Flyers. If we beat Caps I want Debbies in next round.
The cockiness is great. Lots of "Caps in 5" being thrown around now. Wow.
That is awesome. The Rangers have not lost four in a row all year. And they're not going to start now

The can't score. No offensive push at all. Good D. Great goaltending. Painful to watch.
You are correct. Go cry on your own board.

My brother texted me while I was at the game and said that the NBC team might as well be wearing Caps jerseys.

I used to think the same thing about Brodeur. Then you learn that sometimes the puck hitting the post is as much about a goalie having superior positioning.
That was a textbook example of the Rangers in December and January, and of Ranger's hockey. That was how they play their game.
Well done boys. Enjoy it and rest up. Monday will be here before we all know it.
Remember, his hands and shot are so-so, his hockey IQ is low, his passing is suspect, he's too much of a floater...shall I go on?
The only reason he looked like he had low IQ and was a bad passer was because he thought the game 3 notches above all of his teammates. It was clear as day IMO.
Nik Backstrom was out with a concussion for quite some time actually
I was talking about Mike Green, the whole time I was posting earlier. He missed a significant chunk of this season, only played 32 games... I thought he had been out with a concussion but now I remembered that it was something else. He has not looked very good since he's come back into the lineup (at least in the Caps games I've been able to catch).

So didnt see the first two periods. Eminger was actually at Forward? Why would they not go with Scott then? I figured Eminger would play some D and Bickel some goon 4th line minutes
Really hope Dubi and Boyle get back soon they need the depth
good for Anisimov for getting a goal with more ice time

Eminger is a much better skater than Scott(laughably so). He can, although not consistently, give you a physical presence on the boards.
I don't see Scott ever making this lineup in the postseason. Unless Torts wants to send some sort of message to the flyers or something.
Is it just me or was this game 10x more exciting than game 7.
That Garden chant of Kreider gave me goosebumps.
I am so elated with this win. Maybe cause I was a little nervous about facing the Caps and some of my fears have been drowned out by the Garden crowd. Wow, were they loud today.
