seems he really took a step during WC last year, since it was assumed he'd be in SWE for one more year prior to that.

i didn't either, but it seemed the general opinion was he'll come for camp and then go back if he isn't a top 4 guy, i think most people wrote off the AHL for him.

Everyone has ruled him out since a long time back. It was set in stone when he didn't play the first games of the pre-season.

Licensing agreements are licensing agreements. You can't just put him in until the contracts you agreed to allow you to. He's not an SEL player until he plays in a game. He's not an AHL player until he plays in a game. They literally cannot legally put him into the game right now.

He's a member of the Wild in Be a GM but I would imagine, like all players, he's with his previous team in HUT.

Bee raises a good point though, if the situation Brodin is in prevents him from being in the game, then there's literally hundreds of other players that shouldn't be in it either.
