Lol, like we've done in 95 and 2000. I can see it happening if we plug away. It was done before with the hawks (despite this being a different team).

All you need is the right condition to do so and the right mindset to keep plugging away at it. Resiliency is the key word here, as it was in 2000. 1995 was just going out strong and putting the legion of doom to bed.

This. If we lose this series let it be bacause they're the better team. Not because we didn't show up.

Last game we had a 4 minute PP in the 3rd when we were losing 2-0. I've never seen so many giveaways. Every pass was a giveaway on the PP. All 4 minutes of it.

This team is nothing if not resilient. No quit in these Devils. They can beat the Flyers.

Today's Flyers-Devils officials: Refs are Dan O'Halloran and Wes McCauley, linesmen are Steve Barton and Jean Morin.

Gotta DVR the game, which sucks. Hopefully no one spoils the result while I'm working.

That's huge, IMO. He's just the type of player that the Devils would target and be drawn into penalties, especially due to what he did with Zach the last time they faced off(Slewfoot).

I'm not up to date on my ref officials. Are these good picks?

you can't ever take the mainboard seriously. that's why it is best to stick to pictures and gifs. i got an infraction earlier for posting "37 years". i guess the truth isn't allowed.

Both are decent, and fairly consistent. I believe McCauley usually lets a lot go. O'Halloran is pretty good about catching stick fouls.

Humbled enough to say that this won't be easy, and to recognize the Flyers are the heavy favorites.
Confident enough in this team to say that they have the skills and the will to take this series.

Go out there and win, Devils. Nothing better than proving those "expert" sports analysts wrong, right?

Also TG reporting that DeBoer is going full Dineen with the lineup decisions today.
Cam dressed, gametime decision due to "injuries".... oh boy. Won't try to read too hard into this.

If going "Full Dineen" is equivalent to going "Full Retard", then I agree.

Why would you dress Cam for? All that does is bring down the 4th line's effectiveness.

Oh, I don't like that. When you start playing the mental games, it reveals that you're not confident in your ability to dictate play with an announced lineup.

Once Philly realizes who's between the pipes they'll know it's going to be a hard series.
This isn't Fleury
This is Marty! 3 Cups, Olympic gold medalist, and future hall of famer! Philly isn't stupid, they know this too! Our big boys have to stop being outclassed by the third line. When this happens, we will win!

Henrique and Gio deserve lots of credit! Great work coming out of them.

I don't think it's a mental game. He just doesn't want to say which forward is banged up

Relax, Cam isn't going to play, unless someone is really injured. He wouldn't break up the fourth line for no reason, even if Gionta will probably get roughed up by Philly's players.
